I have oil paintings hidden in the shed, attic, my parents home, and paintings given away for gifts. So yes i'm a painter. But i'm not doing it for PROFIT unfortunately....

I see people doing it for PROFIT. but I usually give mine away.

EDIT - I don't have a good business-head. I suck at it. like making money for creativity. I am always giving my stuff/creativity away.

lol I know exactly what ur talking about, on top of my art, I fix stuff for people for free, I'm pretty good at most stuff and am a wiz with reverse engineering, if I can take it apart I can figure out how it works, fix it, and put it back together, and am always doing this for free never asking for anything, sometimes it gets to be a bit much, but my lady always says I need to put my skills to work n use em to make money but it never really interests me to make money, even though sadly it's a necessity to live...

I like to draw ...with pen or pencil.. I never decide to draw but it happens spontaneously when I'm moody lol.. Mostly I draw flowers or trees haha.. I don't decide to..it happens lol..its been long since I drew anything. When I doodle... I always draw flowers!

I used to enjoy painting in school.

I used to enjoy painting in school.

i can't really imagine how people can go without... it's like a drug to me, I literally crave it sometimes and sometimes I just crave shading lol but I have to let it out or I'll burst, I don't understand how it's even possible to not lol my life would feel so empty without it

Believe it or not, for many people, "art", in the traditional sense of the word, usually refers to paintings and sculpture but...., you're right art is a broad term.

I will just say this....
