It doesn't matter what you get them, because it'll only ever be number 2 at best, unless the thing that you get them is something that also shows you want to get to know more about them in the process.
E.g. Do not simply get them art supplies. Get a 1 hour drawing class for him AND YOU to go and participate so that you can both learn how to advance your skills together.
Just something of that nature. It doesn't really take any more effort than what you were originally considering, but will be leaps and bounds more meaningful to the Pisces.
Get him a book with famous works of art in whatever his medium is. Art porn.
Get him art supplies or gift card to art store. I don’t care what anyone says, can’t have too many supplies.
Bonus points if you can book a groupon for both of y’all’s shared interest.
Or go the sentimental route and frame a pic of you guys.

Hello. My Pisces bro's bday is this weekend. And like the late, yet kinda thoughtful thought it is, what are some bday gifts to get for the fishy guy? He's got everything he needs for himself and his happiness, I'm just not sure what to get. He's talented, already has art tools, not an alcoholic, has written many stories and is on a diet.
