I've always been too shy to make the first step. I always wait until the other person makes the first move. I've developed an interest in a pisces man (I'm an aquarius, libra rising). We have some contact because we both work with abandoned pets (he is a vet, I am a volunteer). We exchange some e mails and sometimes we meet in a professional context. he is always time, but somewhat cold. I would like to become friends with him ahd get to know him better. But I guess, if he was interested, he would make a move, right? How can I approach him in a gentle, subtle way?

You said, "if he was interested, he would make a move, right?"

Now, actually comprehend what you wrote.

Don't blow over it and ask how to approach him and talk about liking him ... because ignorance isn't bliss.

Listening to yourself .. don't just talk out of your ass

Cold fish....hmmm well not a good sign. He could be keeping this on a business level. Ask what he likes to do, his hobbies or what did you do this weekend. If the guy doesn't open up, LEAVE IT BE. He has NO interest in letting you know who he is outside of work.

If he does let you know and start becoming a bit warmer to you then ask him for a cup of joe or whatnot. Ease into it, if someone asks you out at work and you have no interest, it makes things very awkward.

T bird that's what I'm scared of because I hate that kind of approach in my professional life. I don't want to disturb his work, but I would like to know him outside work. But I do not think it's right to ask such questions in a professional context.
