Need an advice from Pisces guys

There's this guy from work I like a lot, he is Pisces and I am a Scorpio. I would like to get to know him better, but I know that my personality can sometimes be too intense and I don't want to mess things up, because he is a bit shy. He is a very laid back and genuinely kind person, who doesn't like socializing and prefers the comfort of his own home. There's been a few times when he would open up a little bit and tell me stuff like that. There's a strong mutual attraction, and I am very impatient and want something to happen already, but it feels like it's going to take forever for him to make a move.

Do you think it would be a good idea to ask him out, or should I wait for him to do that?

Would you consider maybe having a little date night at his home? Or maybe ask him what he likes to do or places that he likes to go to and then from there find a lowkey place where you two would be able to get to know one another more.

Well being somewhat open is a start but not enough. I wouldnt consider a date night at the house, just ask if he'd like to do something, something small though to break ice towards your intentions.
