I know more geniuses who r pisces than any other signs
They r awsome as far as creativity is concerned...
I have just got two who work for me in my firm...I trust them like hallmark fr innovations...

You're right they are not smart, THEY'RE BRILLLIANT!! Genius is not about practicality, it's about foresight and vision. To see things others cannot yet still believe in the possibility, and having the stamina and foresight to see it realized.

Name me one piece of technology or engineering in the last 25 years that hasn't proved to be less the standard, dangerous, faulty, fallen below expectation or had to be recalled! No one builds or designs for longevity (except the Italians); there's no money in it! You of all people should recognize the lack of economic feasibility in producing and distributing a product that lasts!

Genius is too complex to classify in a few words or sentences. Every genius fails at something, and doesn't succeed on the level they wish but they teach us lessons in persistance and passion. They look at what went wrong find other applications and uses, and continue on. Einstein is a notable example due to his will to triumph and discover. Geniuses by their very nature expect to fail, their brains can handle it. Their minds are bombarded with so many possibilities they cannot visit them all.
Thomas Edison held thousands of patent but clearly wasn't the driving force behind each one.

Mediocraty drives them to search out excellence. It's being able to think in contradictory terms and see how things are interelated not just in functionality, form and beauty. Genius sees the tree inside the acorn and is willing to nuture it, watch it grow, record each of stage of development and not retreat when the first blossom or fruit fails to appear. Genius is instant but more importantly, it's long-suffering.

What is practicality? What makes a person more practical?

Some people say even shizophrenics are geniuses.

This is more ego stroking based on star sign. Ego stroking based on some unatlerable quality always leads to entitlment mentality. I personally don't see where Pisces have a special something that puts them leaps and bounds above other star signs

No one is saying we have the corner market on we Genius. We Pisces can say what we want about ourselves. You can go to your sign and write up what Geniuses you are there.

You may have overlooked the IPod. Apple didn't really invent the idea. Infact Creative Labs recently sued them and won, but the amount they got was paltry compared to the amount of money Apple have made from the IPod.

What Branh said earlier about pisces being generally smart but lacking in the application department, isn't it the concerse case for virgos then: ie that they're not that amazing smart but they're very proficient at putting their theories into practice, ie being practical?

I am a Virgo, and rank pretty high on the Genius scale. My Pisces was intelligent, but no rocket scientist by nay means. She had an uncanny attention to details, and a hard work ethic, but she couldn't keep up with me on many things.

But she was no dummy either.

Virgos tend to be smart but almost never brilliant. Nothing is very original or novel with them. They know how to follow the rules, use logic, walk the lines. Dependable, good credit, great job review, etc. But don't expect a symphony or a new invention. They tend to be very "inside the box" people while pisces are very "outside of the box".

Well some call mathemtaics an art.

So logic and creativity are interlinked even if the artist does not consider himself or herself mathematically inclined.

And someone who considers themselves foremost as logicians, can be vrey creative in the applications in which they apply their theories.

hmm, at work I've been know for these. Good add, right on the dot!!! I'm an executive assistant who is a technical writer for a company and I also serve as the public relations officer, known for getting my creativeness expressed through articulation of the english words. Hence I guess I'm a genius? COOL!!! Although, with Einstein, I have not yet tapped into my mathematical imaginations yet - I favor the english subject, rather than math!!! Lol...take this light-heartedly Virgos I'm new and only letting everyone know who I am - we are all good at something. I've learned a lot from your messages.

First of all, I recall you berating me some months ago regarding the merits of art, basically that it was useless. Secondly, I think you mean to say art has a mathematical foundation. Art is composed of values, formulas, distance, combinations. Not to mention the use colors carry physiological, cultural, personal, emotional, and expressive implications.
