Always a plus to kick the show off with Flair and hes interrupted by Sixx pac. I like these two and their mini rivalry and LOL at Mean Gene calling Flair Richard to hold him back

Steiners vs Jarret and McMichael is filler too

Sixx vs Flair is the main event but Hall and Nash ruin that. They beat down Flair pretty badly.

Bischoff comes out to end the show to antagonize Sting again. Sting makes his appearance the the front row goes crazyyy and he lays Eric out.

Subpar show, but there was some angle advancement.

Nice start with Shawn and Austin brawling and Owen and Bulldog antagonize those 2 "stupid americans" hehe

Triple H sneaks himself back into the King of the Ring tournament after getting eliminated last week because Vaders nose was broken

Its Owen hart vs Bob Holly in Hollys home town and Holly gets the huge upset!!

AWESOME interview with Mankind. Nobody can tell stories like Foley.

I enjoy the Ahmed and Farooq stuff. Too bad Ahmed is injury prone as fuck.

And we have Farooq vs Rocky. This is still pre The Rock, but its around the corner
Farooq stops the nation of domination from beating on The Rock after the match...

Undertaker comes out talking about Farooq playing the race card and Taker says he is not white nor black he is the reaper of wayward souls 😐
And up comes out grody Paul Bearer who has a secret about the Undertaker! He gives Taker 7 days to come back to him and let him be his manager again or he will tell the secret! :O

Taker storylines are usually too much ridiculous for me.

Stone cold versus Anvil is the main event. More crutch violence after the match. Hart Foundations beats on Austin and HBK makes the save. Its then announced that next week Austin and Shawn must get along and compete against Owen and Bulldog for the tag championship next week! And so the two Texans start brawlin each other.

Good show and good build to King of the ring and to next weeks Raw.

Nitro has been subpar som im just watching some highlights of the May 26 episode

Pillman has is first match in the WWE since hes been injured since he came on board.

Austin and Shawn keep brawlin again

Ahmed vs Vader is high intensity

Payoff of the episode is Austin and Shawn become the tag champs in the in end! Austin also takes down Brets gimpy self.

Too bad they dont end the night on that hot note. We gotta end with Paul Bearer and Undertaker. Not fond of the story even tho it leads to an interesting debut.

I think that tag team win with Austin is the moment HBK becomes the WWF's first ever "grand slam" champion. I could easily be wrong.

I believe he has oneee more title to win in order to do that. Which should be soon.

He yo! We start with Hall who gets roped i with a match against Flair for the nights main event!

Sick of this Glacier shit. Then theres Alex Wright. One of the original dancing gimmicks.

Tag partners Konnan and Hugh Morrus have bad blood

Steiner brothers are named number one contenders for the TaG Titles but Harlem Heat comes out and has a problem with that yo.

Flair comes out pumped as fuck being his usual entertaining self.

Barbarian and Benoit have a intense fight. Like most Benoit matches. An intense individual to say the least.. 😐

The main event is hot. Flair does his awesome flip over the turn buckle and then jumps onto Sixx! Turns into a 2 on 1 basically and McMichael and Jarret make the save

To end the show out comes the Machoooooo man. Leads to him knocking out JJ dillon. Macho man being like the Stone Cold of WCW. I will say that Macho finished what Nash and Hall started early in the year and is making DDP famous.

Nitro was better this week than lately. I still need Jericho to turn heel and make the show immensely more entertaining.

Slow start with Undertaker. Especially with Flair and Halls hot start on Nitro at the same time. It does lead to a shocking return by Psycho Sid however. He wants his wreslemania rematch. But Farooq has a shot at that title at the coming PPV and has a problem with that bro.

Farroq and Ahmed have a match in this feud that has been going on nearly a year. Match is ruined by the nation and Taker. That then leads to Ahmed confronting Taker and getting a chokeslam for his troubles.

Bret plays the Martyr and says Austin re-injured his leg and cant compete at the PPV. Austin and Michaels get into it yet again.
Pillman then advises Austin take on HBK at the PPV instead of him and Austin accepts and says he will kick Pillmans crippled, raspy horsed voice next week on raw!

Owen gets his revenge on Holly after last weeks upset

Legion of Doom take on the tag team champs of Shawn and Steve. Good match. Too bad it ended in non finish fashion.

Mankind advantces in the King of the Ring tournament. Its down to Ahmed vs Triple H and Mankind vs Jerry Lawler

Main event is the Wrestlemania rematch of Taker vs Psycho Sid. A quick match and not really a good one and then Farooq and Nation of Domination beat on Taker and Sid.

Nitro actually may have been a little better for once. Was still a good show tho and WWF does a much better job of WCW of setting up the next Raw.

Reallyyyyyyyyyyyyy boring. Way more than it should have been. 1/5

KOTR semi finals: Mankind vs Jerry "the king" Lawler
Jerry has some good shit talking as usual before the match. Better than his actual skills in the match. Another boring one. 1/5

We then get an Austin and Pillman Brawl which includes Austin sticking pillmans head in the toilet and flushin! :/ Might end up being the best part of the show.

Crush vs Goldust
Crowd was deflated after the first match as they were on fire for Ahmed. They have a bit of a resurgence in this match for Goldust. However the match itself follows the trend of the other except worse. 0.5/5

Owen, British Bulldog, and Jim Neidhard vs Legion of Doom and Psycho Sid
I hope the show can pick up now! :/ It does at least a little. Sid is on his way out oif the WWF at this point. 1.5/5

Mankind vs Triple H
Last year the King of the Ring made Austin. Who will it make this year...
God McMahon is an awful announcer is my first thought. Triple H becomes your 1997 King of the ring! Wasnt that great but decent and match of the night so far. Won't be the first time Foley carries Trips through a match.. 😛 2/5

Bret and the Hart foundation come out and challenge any 5 guys to face them at next months Pay Per View in Canada! (And epic main event for the crowd alone)

Shawn Michaels vs Stone cold Steve Austin
Shawn was quite the asshole at this time with his drug addiction and what not but could still always put on quite the matches. This one got goo fast. While it Was a good match, it had a SHITTTTTT finish. With ref bumps and both guys get DQ'd. If the match had a good finish I would have given it higher than a 4 but I must do a 3.75/5
Hopefully those two have a rematch some time...

WWF Championship: Undertaker vs Farooq
Taker wins in a pretty boring one. 1/5

After the match Paul Bearer exercises his control over Taker and has him chokeslam Farooq over and over and over. Until, of all people, Ahmed Johnson comes out and makes the save and takes down the Undertaker :O

All in all there was really only one good match and that match didnt even have a winner. Final rating: F+
I'll add the plus because there was a couple of good things.

Its my boy Jericho! But he is still in his boring ass Lionheart gimmick 😢. Him and Alex Wright put on a pretty good little match though. I bet these will be better matches than at the upcoming PPV. Or maybe I'm tainted after watching king of the ring.

Kevin Greene is still in the thick of things and keeps attacking Mongo.

Savage and DDP get into another brawl till security breaks dat shit up

Yet another good match for the night. This one with Malenko and Jarrett. A returning Eddie Guerrero costs Malenko the match and the US title.

The main event! Woo! Flair and Piper against Hall and Nash. NWO comes out to fight Flair and Piper. Out comes four horsemen. Out comes Steiners and Harlem Heat. Fucking Wrath and Glacier too. Errrbody brawlin! WE WANT STING chants bellowing out of the crowd.
Dungeon of doom is out attacking Benoit. Macho man is out to help the NWO but DDP attacks him! Hogan is out and attacks DDP from behind! Mayhem!

Down comes Sting from the rafters! And the place goes nuts!

The whole show was good though. Good matches and hot angles and that awesome ending. I wasnt excited for the PPV but I am now. Even though it will prolly still suck.

The new king of the ring, Triple H, continues his angle with Mankind after the PPV

British Bulldog Defends his European title for the first time on Raw against Goldust. Bulldog is gonna beat on Goldust with a chair but Shamrock comes and saves him

Farooq kicks Crush and Savio out of the Nation and says he will find new members.

We get a little ECW action as Paul Heyman and Tommy Dreamer are in the audience when Lawler and RVD come out

After being advertised Austin vs Pillman since last week, Mankind attacks Austin and now its Mankind vs Pillman. Show ends with Austin and Shamrock saving Mankind from a hart foundation beat down....then Austin is austin fashion stuns Shamrock.

Was a mediocre show. Especially compared to that good Nitro. WWF is telling good storylines, but at the same time all the backstage politics are going on and things seem to be changing on the fly/

I'm gonna check that KOTR for the Trips win. I remember he waited a year for that after being held back from a KOTR win in 1996 and mid carded for the Madison Square Garden Kliq incident. What a great decision it turned out to be for the entire company making Austin 3 16 a star though.

If you did/do watch is i just go for the trips-mankind and hbk-austin matches its a really bad ppv all around.

Yeah Triple H did get punished for quite awhile. Even lost to the Ultimate warrior in like 30 seconds at wrestlemania 12. :/ But yes the whole Austin 3:16 coming out party sure turned out to be the right direction to say the least

All in all Ill give the show D-
Tooooo many boring or non fueds on the card and not too many good matches. In fact the best match was the opener cruiserweight match. Which was kinda the norm for wcw.

So tonight their in Chicago rather than at the PPV. Shows the importance to Nitro as compared to PPVs

Sports starts keep invading WCW as the show starts with Hogan and Dennis Rodman

They seem to be setting up a Flair-Piper feud. Its about 5 years too late.

There was some decent wrestling on this show and a hot Chicago crowd.

However the show kinda just felt blah as a whole.

To open the show Vince discusses the Hart and HBK real life fight situation to start the show. Since Michaels got injured (got his ass kicked) in the fight, the Tag Championship has been held upo and there will be a tournament for them.

Those two cranky ass cancers fuckin things up. With all the backstage turmoil tho it makes the show seem like anything could happen, because anything really was happening. Makes for amusing programming.

Mankind wants to be Austins partner in the tournament. Then Shamrock comes out mad and calls Austin a Bully! However it is finallyyyyy Austin vs Pillman tonight.

The Bulldog and goldust feud continues

Austin and Pillmans match does take place and the rest of the hart foundation is handcuffed to the ring. It doesnt stop them from getting lose however. Austin gets beat down. Shamrock makes the save. Then lays Austin out. Legion of doom comes out to try and stop them from fighting.

The match is then made for the PPV. Hart Foundation against Legion of Doom, Austin, Goldust and Shamrock

The Tag tournament is off to a boring start

The Nation of Domination, who is now just Farooq and D Lo brown, introduce the newest member, Kama Mustafa and Kama and Farooq take on Ahmed and Taker in the main event.

After the match Ahmed Lays out Taker and joins the nation. :/

Also as Lackluster and Nitro was this week.

Its announced that it is Hall vs DDP tonight

Eddie does a good job playin the skeevy mexican

Alex Wright and Chris Jericho put on another decent little match

The Steiners and Harlem heat have a pretty good match except with a botched finish

Eddie snuck out of his match with Syxx and gave the title shot to his nephew Chavo. The two have a decent little match

The Flair and Piper feud continues as the horsemen get involved to help Ric.

Earnest Miller is added to the Glacier stuff as if it wasnt already bad enough.

Hall and DDP is the main event and is aaaight. Savage bats down on DDP and Sting then comes to his aid. Is Sting DDP's mystery partner for the ppv?

Vinces announcing is already annoying me 2 minutes in.

The new nation of domination starts the show. They continue the race card. Crush comes out and brings out his new biker stable. Brawl ensues.

The first 2 matches are shit. Hart foundation beat on LOD after their match.

An ecw represented match. Flash Funk against Sabu. Bill Alfonso and his fucking whistle ruin the match.

Owen, Goldust and Hunter have a triple threat match for the Intercontinental title. The only highlight of the night so far.

Bret comes out for a promo and has a line of how Shamrock comes from the Ultimate Fairy Championship lolol. He leter goads some boxer into the ring and talks shit about him.

Its funny in the 80s and 90s Vince and the WWF put all the territory federations out of business and at this time they would have wrestlers from other organizations like NWA and ECW come in to help generate fans response. Talk about desperation.

Awfullll main even with Farooq and D lo against Taker and Vader. Seems as tho Paul Bearer is gnna tell Takers secret next week. Yipee :/

I hope this one is better than the last shit one. Especially leading into a good PPV. I have my doubts though.

Shamrock and HHH have a good start to the show however.

Soooo just as Ahmed was getting a huge push...he got injured once again. This will be the end of him ever being something big. And the WWF main event scene just cannot catch a break. I guess that is why we are getting a terrible championshiop run of Takers.

Farooq and D Lo brown beat LOD in a short bad match to advance to the tag team championship semi finals
Savio vega comes out with his own gang of mexicans and attacts the nation of domination. Then out comes the bike gang and Race bating 97is on

Another sub par light heavy weight match and then Lawler helps out his son afterwards.

Pillman and Mankinf have a decent match. It also advanced the Triple H and Mankind feud going into the PPV

Paul bearer has a long and boring story about Undertaker and his brother Kane...
He then goes on to say how Undertaker burned their house down and killed his parents! :O
Ugh.

Owen and Bulldog advance to take on Nation of Domination in the tournament toi takr on Austin and his new partner. What a crap tourney.

Undertaker tells his side of the story. :/ We later find out from Paul Bearer that Kane is alive. :O

Austin and Neidhart is the main event. Bret hart who was supposedly not at Raw tonight, is, and attacks Shamrock backstage during he match. Bret and Jim beat on Austin and Foley makes the save.

All in all, another bad raw.

Show starts with Heel Flair talkin shit about Piper

Jericho apparently beat Syxx for the cruiserweight title at a house show. He defends against Juventud in a good match. Then Syxx comes out and interrupts the Jericho interview. Those two brawl and as security breaks it up Alex Wright comes out and tries to cut a promo. Nice. Finally a Jericho feud.

Malenko and Eddie have a good match

Rey Mysterio comes out and challenged Nash. Nash accepts

Damn that was a hot half hour. And then out comes Hogan :/

Steiners call out Hall and Nash but more than just hall and nash come out. Nash and Hall have contracts for a fight with Steiners but only if they beat Chono and the great muta.

After a good first hour, the second hour is off to a weak start.

Raven is shown in the audience :O

Flair helps Jarrett defend his title and it seems as tho the 4 horsemen have forgiven Jeff, but no Flair kicks him out!

Nash vs Rey Mysterio is a clusterfuck but mildly entertaining. Konnan comes to help Rey? No he nods to Nash and then attacks Mysterio.

Tennay tried to interview Raven in the audience but Raven doesnt say a word.

Nash, Hall and Macho man come out and they get into it with DDP, The giant and Lex Lugar. Its a match I guess, but a clusterfuck. Nwo out numbers them. Out comes Sting to make the save! Then comes someone down the ramp. Its "Mr Perfect" Curt Hennig! And then Raven comes over the guard rail. Who is DDP's mystery partner?😐

Good show! Very fluid and exiting. I hope they can get on a roll.

Hot Canada crowd!! As usual. They're what makes this pay per view so good.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley w/ chyna vs Mankind
They are very pro Mankind in this match. Mankind starts this match off kicking Hunters ass for quite a bit. After Chyna interferes and hurts Mankinds leg, Trips goes and keeps workin on it. This is a really great opener. Has one of those crap ending though. So gotta knock a little bit off the rating for that. Better than their match at King of the ring despite the ending tho. 3.5/5

Taka Michinoku vs the great sasuke
Something tells me the Japanese will light up the light weight division which is in much need for a spark. Meanwhile, before the match HHH and mankind are still fighting through the crowd! I like how these two light heavyweights start off slow and mat wrestling and then quickin up the pace nice and fast. Great and fun match. WCW had the mexican wrestlers stealing the show so the WWF finally counters with the Japanese 4/5

Undertaker vs Vader
These two come out brawlin! The match does slow down from there but for two big guys they have a good back and forth thing going. Crowd gets fucking hyped during this one tho! Man these two had to follow two great matches and still manged to put on a show. 3/5
(and at worst match of the night with a 3/5. Prolly wont ever see that again in my ratings...unless i one day to Ring of Honor)

And now for the main event!!!

Austin, Shamrock, Goldust and the Legions of doom
vs
Hart foundation (Bret, Owen, Bulldog, Neidhart and Brian Pillman)

Team USA certainly does not get a good reaction from the crowd. Brian Pillmans music hits and the crowd goes fucking nuts! Cannot even hear the theme song. Same happens for Neidhart. And Bulldog. And Owen. And the Bret comes out and the fans some how turn it up to an even louder level and just lose their fuckin shit. Fucking awesome crowd. One of the loudest ever.

Onto the actual match. Bret and Austin start with throwing punches. And the crowd is still fucking deafening! Shamrock and Anvil are next at it with some nice brawlin themselves. Pillman comes in and end up giving it good to Shamrock. Least for awhile until Shamrock gets a reversal. Owen and Goldust are then tagged in. An Owen chant breaks out as he and dust go to town. An Austin sucks chant is next to break out. Bulldog last to come in for the hart foundation against Hawk.

Its then Bret and Animal as the match continues at its back and forth pace. Then at one point there a 5 on one stomping of Goldust until the rest of his team comes in and all hell breaks loose! Owen then gets on a fucking roll. Until he gets his leg beat on by Austin and a steel chair. He gets taken to the back. All hell then continues to break loose.

Bret gets revenge on Austin and he also gets taken to the back. Later, Pillman just lampoons Shamrock onto the announce table. I do love Pillmans constant interference in this match. Austin hobbles back out to the ring and gets tagged in but then Bret gets tagged back in as well. Austin eventually gets the sharpshooter on Bret, but out hobbles Owen! He breaks that up and gets tagged in. Austin then attacks the Hart family whom is sitting at ringside. lmao ah shit. That allows Owen to sneak a roll up on Austin for the win!! Theres another huge brawl after and the crowd is stillll goin crazy! Great fuckin match and atmosphere 4.5/5

After Austin atatcks Bret again and the Hart foundation beat his ass. After the whole Hart family comes from the crowd to celebrate with the Hart foundation!

I mean what can I say about this show. It has it all. Only 4 matches but every match was good. In this case quality was better than quantity. The crowd was fucking epic. The main event was hot as fuck. The only slight I can give it is its only a 2 hour PPV other than 3. This show wont be beat in my rating for a long time. If ever. High recommendations.

What a difference a month makes between KOTR and canadian stampede

Off the heels of a hot Pay Per View, Raw is Liveeee Edmonton Alberta Canada!

And Bret Hart comes out first to yet another hot Canadian crowd! Out in an Oilers hockey jersey to boot. Bret will take on Taker for the championship at Summerslam! Bret says he loves leaving America and that Americans think they are better than us and everyone. Also brings up health care and gun control :O Hart then says if he loses at Summerslam he will never ever wrestle in america again.
-He then call out Owen who won the match last night! Owen will be taking on Austin at summerslam.
-Next out is the european champion the British Bulldog. He will put the title on the line against Shamrock at the PPV.
--Bret talks about how everyone sees Raw through the american point of view. And so he starts up the Canadian national anthem. Austin then comes out of nowhere and attacks all 3 with a steel chair!!

Hot start and I like the build from the last PPV right into Summerslam.

Brian Christopher comes out to interupt the japanese and he joins commentary with Lawler. we get Taka Michinoku vs Great sasuke rematch from last night. And its another great match! Lotssss of fast flyin around! Match was too short tho as compared to the PPV.

We get the mexican and biker gang feud as Crush and savio go at it :/ Canada cheers for the white people..

The finals of the Tag Tournement. Owen and Bulldog against Nation of dominatioN. winner faces austin and whoever his partner is next week. Owen and Bulldog win with whacky shenanigans.

Mankind comes out in an Austin 3 16 shirt and scuffles with the Hart foundation.

Ooooooo we get an austin triple h match. Mankind ends up distracting hhh at the end. Austin wants mankind to shake his hands and they can be partners next week. Mankind goes in for the hug and gets a stunner!

We get Brian Christopher in a light heavy weight match. Its not as good as the japanese.

Austin is back and Vince interviews him. Next week Raw is in Austins home town of San Antonio Texas. Austin says if Owen wins Owen can take off his tights and his panties and Austin will kiss his ass. :/

Goldust and Bret Hart is the main event. DOA, the bikers come out, for whatever reason. Hart foundation make their way out too. And later LOD and shamrock. Match was kind of a clusterfuck with all the outside shit.

Overall the show was better than the last two Raws having that momentum out of the great PPV.

Hall and Savage interrupt the announce table and talk shit about DDP. Tenay and Tony run off but Larry stays and he and Hall almost get into it.

Buff Bagwell and Scott Norton take on Chavo and Eddie. Eddie leaves Chavo to get his ass kicked.

Its Macho man versus La Parka. Hall is out with Macho but goes to mess with Larry. La Parka hits a diamond cutter! Its not La Parka its DDP!! Great WCW moment.

More glacier and ernest miller shit.

Flair is with a manikin in a kilt and talks shit about piper. But the Real Piper is there and eventually comes out! They go at it. Horsemen eventually come to Pipers aid.

Tenay tried to get answers from Raven. Out comes Stevie richards to speak for Raven. However Raven slaps him down.

Benoit and McMichael take on the Steiners in the main event. Match is aaaight with hectic ending by interference. Sullivan laid out Benoit and Jarrett attacked McMichael.

We end the show with Hollywood Hogan. Hogan hypes his match with Dennis Rodman against Lugar and The giant. Giant and Lugar come out and Lugar gets Eric Bischoff in the torture rack. NWO makes the save so Hogah can get away.

Good Nitro. Pretty good build for Bash at the beach. Tho I couldnt give a shit about the main event tag match. The Hall and savage against DDP and mystery partner is more interesting.

Bash at the beach did have more Pay Per View buys than WWF canadian stampede but certainly wont be even close to as good me thinks.

Oh god not a good start if this is the first match. But I guess its best to get it out of the way quick. Howeverrr it actually turns out to be a good opener and the fans were into it. 2.5/5

Cruiserweight championship: Chris Jericho vs Ultimo Dragon
This match was good but borders on decent because it was sloppy. They both could do so much better. 2.5/5

Mean Gene tried to get an interview with Raven and he finally talks...in a riddle. Steive richards tries to talk again and gets a bow to his face for his troubles.

Rick & Scott Steiner vs. Great Muta & Masahiro Chono
This was decent but something was missing and i just wasnt feeling it. 1.5/5

Psychosis/La Parka/Villano IV v. Hector Garza /Juventud Guerrera /Lizmark Jr
Once again, decent but nothing special. 2/5

Career Match — Kevin Sullivan v. Chris Benoit
Huge brawl! Twas okay. 2/5

U.S. Championship: Jeff Jarrett vs. Steve McMichael
Debra turns on her husband but all and all not a good match. 1/5

Scott Hall and Randy Savage v. DDP and the mystery partner...Curt Hennig!
Should have been much better and the ending botch didnt help 1.5/5

Ric Flair vs Roddy Piper
Match was okay but still missing a certain excitement and fluidity that the whole PPV is. 2/5

Hogan and Rodman vs Lugar and The Giant
Rodman pulls off a few wrestling moves. blah blah blah. match was waaaaay too long and not good. 1/5

Celebrities in matches usually either go very entertaining or very bad. This one leaned towards the latter.

Overall a very blah show. Every match was between decent to subpar with a few that were bad. Including the main event.

Shamrock says he is not austins partner tonight he is just againt the hart foundation in general and tonight takes on Neidhart.

The returning HBK comes out for a promo. He says he will be Austins partner if he wants him to. He then gets on his knees and begs to vince the "boss man" that he wants to be a part of summerslam in some way. Any way.

Shamrock beats Jim with a weird submission. Owen and Bulldog attack but The Patriot comes to his defense

Vader and flash funk have a decent little match.

Austin comes out alone to take on Owen and Bulldog without a partner. Least for the time being. Austinsa partner has arrived. Its Dude Love... Mankind in tie dye. Austin looks on confused as fuck by Mick Foleys alter ego. Austin sneaks in and hits a stunner and Dude Love covers Owen for the win and to become new tag champions! Dude Love groupies come out to help him celebrate. Austin is still rather bamboozled. Interesting main event and turn of events.

Overall a decent and enjoyable Raw
