Starts with the debut of the Nitro Girls!
Theyre live in Orlando and the crowd seems hyped.

Chavo and Eddie finally have a match against each other. Nothin special, really. Cept Eddie bats on chavo after the match even more.

DDP talks about how he is wrong that Curt Hennig is a stand up guy. He says he doesnt get mad, he gets even.

Buff bagwell and scott norton take on the Steiners. Match is decent

Meanwhile Konnan gets out of a limo with the NWO

Theres a couple more matches that are iffy.

Flair still wants Hennig to join the horsemen.

NWO come out for a promo and Nash is in a wheel chair faking injury.

Hall and Syxx take on Harlem Heat. Pretty good match

Flair vs Jarrett is the main event. jarrett gets a 3 horsemen beat down

show ends with Lugar who challenges Hogan for the championship! The NWO comes out and Sting makes the save!

WWF is back in Canada! Raw did a big rating this week as Nitro was on Tuesday instead of Monday.
I like the opening video that tries to portray that the hart foundation issue has ruined Canada and America relations completely.
Bret Hart has challenged any 3 Americans to a flag match! I remember this main event vividly.

Shamrock and Vader start the show off pretty decent.

Vince interviews Bret, Owen and Bulldog. Bret dishes America and a US sucks chant breaks out! They challenge Undertaker, Shamrock and Austin to the flag match. Austin accepts.

Subpar lightheavyweight match.

A long...too long...video on Mick Foley and him now being Dude Love.

Shawn Michaels takes his jabs at Canada.Shawn announces that he's going to be the next member of the US team in tonight's flag match. He has more bad news for Canada. He begged last week to be a part of Summerslam and he will be the special guest ref in the main even between Bret and Undertaker!

The Patriot is suppose to make his in ring debut for the WWF against HHH, but Bret, Owen and Bulldog storm out and confront Vince about Michaels being the special ref at summerslam in Brets match. Bret tells Vince he is screwing him and he knows it..hmm...Vince attacks Bret and the two scuffle! Patriot tried to help and the Hart foundation beats on him.

Goldust and Farooq are in a match. Match sucks.

Apparently during the break Bret hart laid out Shawn. Just like real life.

Bret, owen and bulldog are out for the match and have the canadian national anthem played. I highly doubt Canadians ever had this fun with wraslin again.Austin comes out for the match and Dude Love is his partner in this capture the flag match. And out comes Taker!

I remember this match because I was 8 and I was torn because I loved me some bret hart and the hart foundation but I couldnt root against the americans in a flag match! :O

Pillman gets involved and Bret is able to get the flag!

Good main event! But not that good of a raw overall.

Flair says he has a 4th Horsement but Syxx comes out and taunts Flair that he doesnt have a fourth horsement and that they are a thing of the past its all about the NWO now.

Jarrett costs Mc Micahel a match against Malenko

Eddie takes on his brother Hectar after Eddies actions as of late. Malenko gets his revenge on eddie

JJ dillon tries to sign Raven but he tears up the contract.

Hall and Nash arrive and Konnan tells them what happened with Flair and Syxx and how Syxx has a match against Benoit tonight

Konnan messes with an already injured Rey Mysterio. The Lucha Libres come to his aid.

Curt Henning makes his Nitro Wrestling debut and after the win DDP comes out and hits a diamond cutter on him!

The main event is Flair and Benoit vs Hall and Nash. NWO and Horsement feuding and then the Steiners come out.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley (w/Chyna) vs. Mankind in a cage match
Good opener. Not as good as their match at Candian stampede and certainly no owen vs bret in a cage at summerslam 94. These two have good chemistry though. Good ending despite Chynas botch. 2.5/5

Goldust vs. Brian Pillman Loser wears a dress
Not a good match. Goldust did not bring his A game and Pillman is a shell of his former self and sadly his death would come soon. 1/5

The Godwinns v. The Legion of Doom
An aaight match. Nother stinker really. 1.5/5

So they try and do a million dollar give away in the middle of a PPV and nobody wins lolol. Stoopid.

The British Bulldog vs. Ken Shamrock
Another pooooor match. After Ken Shamrock snaps and wont let go of his hold on Bulldog. He then also lays out refs and wwf officlials!! The crowd loves that.

This PPV is getting tedious tho after a subpar first half. And there is more bad breaks to come.. That was a pun and an allusion. A funny one. 😛

The Disciples of Apocolypse v. Los Boriquas
God save me. I dont even know what to say about this shit. 0.5/5

Intercontinental Championship: Owen Hart vs Stone Cold Steve Austin
Finally after over an hour of crap we will get some decency. Austin starts the match as intense as always. Then slows the pace down and the two do soem good technical stuff. After all the good technical stuff Owen goes for a piledriver...And breaks Austins neck for real :/ Owen realizes something is wrong and tries to think on the fly and Austin gets the weakest roll up ever for the win. Great match tho the ending certainly puts a damper on things. Especially on Austins hot streak. 3/5

WWF Championship: The Undertaker vs. Bret Hart. Shawn michaels is the guest ref
This is prolly the best match Taker has had for awhile. Bret is trying to work Taker over good. And Paul Bearer makes an appearance. Bret continues to work Takers leg for a longgg time. Pillman and Owen come out so Takers goes out and beats them up before they can interfere.

Taker gets a chokeslam for a pin but Michaels is too bust paying attention to owen and pillman and throwing them out and Taker is upset and gets in Michaels face. Bret is able to take control again but not before flippin off the crowd.After lots of back and forth action bret locks on the sharpshooter! But Taker breaks the hold and powerfully so!

Then Bret ends up landing on Shawn! Bret hits taker with a chair. 1....2....Taker kicks out! Shawn sees the chair and gets all up in Brets face. They start to argue! Bret spits in shawns face! Shawn goes to hit Bret with the chair but Bret ducks and WHAM he hits Taker with it! Bret pins and Shawn is forced to begrudgingly count the 3. Good main event and turn of events. 3/5

Overall the show wasnt strong at all. Canadian Stampede was the pinnacle of the Hart Foundation storyline. It is all down hill from here. The show did have 3 strong matches though to out way the bad so I will give D

Summerslam was dissapointing. This will be my last week of raw and nitro before skipping ahead a few weeks.

We start Raw with the newwwwwwwwww WWF champion, Bret Hart.
The sound on the video is shitty to start.
Owen talks about how he left Austin a cripple. Owen wants Austin to forfeit his championship and give i back to him. JR then introduced the new WWF Commissioner Srgnt. Slaughter. He says Bret will defend his title against the Patriot at the PPV

Shamrock takes on Kama and theres a Papa Shongo chant lolol.

Taka Michinoku hands Brian christopher his first loss in a decent little match.

Paul Bearer tells Chyna he is more of a man than she'll ever be. Lolz. Poor guy is wrong. During the HH and vader match chyna does lay out Bearer.

The Patriot (who comes out to Kurt Angles theme ) defeats the sultan.

Out comes Shawn Michaels to talk about him costing Taker the match last night after losing his composure. He runs down WWF fans and says they shouldnt give him responsibility for hwat happened and says he doesnt care what anyone thinks. Vince asks him if hes in cahoots with Bret. Shawn says Vince is a dumbass. Shawn tells Undertaker he doesnt lay down for anybody, not taker, bret or the fans. He is officially now is Douchebag mode.

Out comes Taker! But Michaels has ran away.

Ahmed is back from injury and he Nation already turns on him

The next half hour of the show is a crapshoot.

Bret joins the announce table as Owen vs Dude Love is the Main event. This match was made cuz Stone Cold cannot compete with his neck injury. Bret almost helps Owen win the match but out comes Austin! Pandemonium starts to happen outside the ring and that gives Austin a chance to whack Owen with one of his slammy awards and the Dude wins.

A mediocre Raw at best. You can already feel the magic of the late spring-early summer storyline wearing off.

Nitro 8 4 97
Nitro goes 3 hours!
This was yet another plan to keep winning the war against Raw. So they could start an hour earlier and get the leg up.

Live in Detroit! Its the 100th Nitro.

The world champion Hollywood Hogan starts the show. There was a paper work fiasco and The Lugar-Hogan match will not be at the PPV it will be the main event tonight.

Hour number 1 is kind of a throw away.

They start hour number 2 which would start the head to head against Raw I believe. Lex Lugar kicks it off and says tonight will be the defining moment in his career.

Benoit and Syxx have a nice little match goin until Jarrett ruins it.

Steiners are out with Ted Dibiase.

Bischoff threatens JJ Dillon and Larry Zbyszko

DDP vs Ric Flair is the co main event. Was an okay match. Hennig comes out. Will he be the newest horsemen (spiler alert he goes NWO)

JJ Dillon is back out and says WCW need Sting and wants him to come out to negotiate a contract. Down comes Sting! JJ wants Sting to face Curt Hennig! Sting rips it up..

Lugar vs Hogan for the World title starts up! Its a slow but okay match. NWO tried to interfere. Lugar takes them all out. He puts Hogan in the torture rack!!!! Hogan gives up! Lugar wins the title! Place is going fucking nuts! Wcw guys come and celebrate with him.

Great WCW moment....tho Hogan won the title back 6 days later at the PPV. :/

WCW went allllllll the fuck out for this 3 hour nite. Too bad they dont do this for their fuckin PPVs.

WCW was ar a good place atm but August and September will not be so hot so I will be skipping.

Well since im skipping Raws and Nitros time to do somethin different. Time to get extremeeeeeeeeeeee

Nothing like a shut the fuck up chant 2 minutes in! The match however, not impressive. 0.5/5

Louis Spicolli vs Mikey Whipwreck
I do like the one man announce team of Joey style s most the time. Mikey hits a pretty nice diving flip. EC DUB! EC DUB! Chants. Better than the first match but needed more time. 1.5/5

Bam Bam Bigelow v Spike Dudley
This might not be pretty. I actually enjoy this even tho it was the typical big man dominated and littleman gets the upset. 2/5

Chris Candido vs Chris Chetti
The various chants from the crowd are what makes the show, really. Average stuff from Candido and the rookie. 1.5/5

Shane Douglas (w/ Francine) vs Lance Storm
Storms hair style is questionable to say the least. I do love me some Lance Storm. Shane Douglas has over been over rated though. The match is good tho for its time. 2.5/5

ECW TV title — Taz (c) v Al Snow
Pretty decent mat wrestling but all short matches tonight. 2/5

The Dudley Boys vs Balls Mahoney/Axl Rotten/Hack Myers
Hot.ass.mess. 1/5

Tommy Dreamer w/Beulah vs Rob Van Dam w/Bill Alfonso
Was a decent enough match. Could have been better though. After the match mass chaos breaks out with various wrestlers. 2.5/5

Terry Funk vs Sabu Barbed Wire Rope match for the ECW World Heavyweight Champion
This fucking match. Only one way to describe it. BRUTAL. What insane pain that had to be. Was not a wrestling classic by any means but a classic nonetheless from the sheer craziness alone. Definitely extreme. 3/5

The main event saves the show. The rest of the night was mostly below average. The craziness of ECW sure was something. This event only gets a D from me however.

Since im skipping some weeks of Raw and Nitro Imma try some ECW hardcore TV in that time lapse. Tho 1997 is past some of its better storylines. Ive never seen any of this so its trial.

Show starts going along with the WWF story with ECW guys. Sabu and RVD put quite the beat down on Tommy dream and then drape a WWF banner over him.

I do enjoy the ECW theme. ECW is a unique animal. I should have watched more of it.

Dreamer says he is coming after RVD and Sabu with everything that he has next time he sees them.

FBI take on Spike dudley and chris chetti in a 3 on 2 match. Match is nothin special.

Funny spot with chris candido where he tells Joey style s he isnt responsible for the WWF banner since hes datings WWFs sunny. He then gets a call from JR..A hyper mother fucker.

Bobby Dunkum (or dunkun not sure) Jr vs Sabu in main event. Ends in chaos. Dreamer and Sabu brawl it up. Beyond brawl, really. RVD and Sabu knockout dreamer again. They also knock out his GF Beauluh. Sandman tries to make the save but also gets KO'd. They drape the WWF banner over all 3 of them. Then out comes Taz at the ned of the show!!

So the wrestling bad. :/ I dig the storyline tho. ECW has an aura of awesomeness to it. Something WWF would still for the attitute era.

These FBI matches can stop. I guess it was ok tho.

Joel gertner and the dudleys have a good promo chastising John Kronus who no longer has a tag team partner I guess.

Uhoh its Rick Rude. He introduces the new ECW champion Shane Douglas.

Douglas takes on Axl Rotten. Crowd tries to piss off Douglas with woo's since he hates Ric Flair. lmao.

At the end RVD and Sabu beat down dreamer yet again and go for the WWF banner again. But out comes Taz!He beats on RVD and Savu and Dreamer helps too. Dreamer says he owes Taz one and Taz says he wants him to pay him back by challenging him for the TV title.

Show ends with Paul Heyman talking. The founder of ECW Todd Gordon has left the company as Commissioner and Paul vows they he and the company will truck on and do him proud.

Apparently it is Terry Funks last match in his home town. (bahahahaha yeah righttt)They give him a clone of the ECW world title as the lifetime heavyweight champion of the world.

All 3 dudleys beat on John Kronus. But out come New Jack! New Jack is not a gimmick I like much.

Jerry Lynn makes his ECW debut! He takes on Chris Candido. This is one of the occasions where the crowd is annoying rather than enhancing. Great match other than that tho!

Taz vs Dreamer is the main event.Good match. RVD and Sabu come to beat them down. The Sandman makes the saveee.

I do like ECW's storytelling. And add a good match like in this episode and you have one helluva show.

Commissioner Slaughter suspends Steve Austin due to injury and strips him of his Intercontinental Title and Tag Team Title. Dude Love gives up his tag title. Out comes Austin. He is pissy and flips off JR. He throws the belt down and tells Slaughter to "drop down and give me 20, you big piece of trash." Austin stuns JR with elation from the crowd!

WWF Tag Team Titles: Headbangers vs. Godwinns vs. Legion of Doom vs. Owen Hart & The British Bulldog
Prettyyyy boringggg. Austin ends up costing Owen and Brtish bulldog the titles and the crowd goes nuts for that. 1.5/5

WWF Heavyweight Title: Bret Hart vs. The Patriot
Decent outing. 2.5/5

HELL IN A CELL: Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels
On a recent Raw the team of Shawn and HHH (soon to be DX) beat down Taker. This is a fucking battle. 3.5/5

I had my PPVs mixed up as there was not a significant ending., Unless you count undertakers awesome dive out of the ring.

With a midget match as one of the best matches it is a questionable event. F+

So at this Point the The Rock has already joined the Nation of Domination. Loud ass Rocky sucks chants. Theyre having a tournament for the Intercontinental title I presume. Pillman, Owen and Faroog have advanced. Its Rock vs Ahmed. Ahmed gets the win! I enjoyed it.

Over the weekend in Englanddd Shawn beat Bulldog cuz ref said bulldog could not continue. Shawn is not the European champ. Ohhhh backstage politics. Now the grand slam champ Tiz :p

Undertaker and Shawn are set for a hell in a cell match! As I havea typo up there in my last PPV cuz i thought thaaat was the hell in a cell match but it was not. Shawn whines about his match with Taker.

Nation tries to beat down on LOD. Ahmed tries to make the save but also gets beat down.

In the Intercontinental title tournament Pillman fakes injury and forfeits against Owen. Slaughter however doesnt let that happen and makes the match go on. Owen wins by DQ when Goldust hits him after going after Pillman. Austin attacks Owen from behind! The cops grab Austin because Owen has a retraining order.

Mc Mahon stops the cops from arresting him. McMahon berated Austin and tells him to get ahold of himself. He continues to try and calm him down. Austin stuns McMahon!!! McMahon over dramatics it up and starts seizing lmao. Austin then is arrested. Crowd is lovin Austin more and more. Classic moment.

Foley sends out a different alter ego than Dude Love or Mankind. Cactus Jack! Gets an ECW chant goin. Good stuff from these two once again.

Trips and Shawn beat on Taker

Bret and Goldust is the main event which ends with a DX vs Hart Foundation brawl. Taker coms out also and chokeslams both shawn and bret

Nitro was killin Raw in the ratings at this point. Good thing that Austin angle is gettin hot eh..

Triple H Shawn and Rick Rude are out talking shit. Bret an the Hart foundation interrupt eventually. Two heel factions bickering? 😐

Vader and Bulldog have a good match but the Hart foundation attack and give a beat down. The patriot makes the save but also gets beat down. They drape canadian flags over vader and the patriot.

Ahmed vs Farooq in the tournament. Winner takes on Owen at the PPV. Ahmed is injured yet again btw. :/ Ahemd gets DQ's when he hits the ref. So another heel vs heel thing at the PPV with owen and Farooq. :/

LOD, Ahmed, and ken shamorck brawl with the nation of domination

Second hour starts with Austin! Ol Anti hero Austin get those cheers from the crowd. He calls McMahon into the ring. A little one more time chant breaks out...McMahon and austin keep up their bickering

Owen comes out with an Owen 3:16 shirt lolol hes also out with his security again. Owen says he will get his INT title back at the PPV. Austin meanwhile was dressed like one of the security guards and stuns owen! Austin runs through the crowd as the real security tries to chase em but some of the fans get in their way and stop em! hahahaha nice.

HHH vs Undertaker is the main event
Bulldog and Hart attack Taker. That then leaves Shawn and HHH to beat on him. Then the match actually starts. Shawn superkickers Taker and they put him in a body bag. but taker busts out and eventually tombstones HHH on the steel stage.

Ken shamrock was suppose to be LODs partner but he is injured so it is a 3 on 2 match. Ehhh not that great of an opener really. 1.5/5

Vince announces that Brian Pillman was found dead in his hotel room. RIP

Tarantula & Mosaic v. Max Mini & Nova
Midget time. Not as good as the midget match at last ppv. 1.5/5

WWF Tag Team Titles: The Headbangers vs. The Godwinns
So much for a headbangers title reign. 1/5

The firsthour is limping along just like the last ppv.

They do a tribute to the St. Louis legends of wrestling Kiniski, the Funks, the Briscoes, and Lou Thesz

Intercontinental title tournament final: Faarooq v. Owen Hart
Out comes Austin for commentary. He is also suppose to present the winner with the Intercontinental belt. Austin ends up hitting Farooq with the belt helping Owen win...cuz Austin anted his rematch with Owen. Not much of a match tho. Another 1.5/5

Los Boriquas v. DOA
Just no. 1/5

Flag match: Bret Hart & Davey Boy Smith v. The Patriot & Vader
This better be good were half way through the show and its shit. Best match so far but still just average. 2.5/5

HELL IN A CELL: HBK vs Undertaker
Undertaker starts the match off dominating but eventually shawn turns things around. Then at one point they exit the cell and both climb on top of it! Michaels gets slammed by Taker onto the top of the cell! Shawn tries to climb down away and hangs from the top and then Taker kicks him and he falls through the SPANISH announce table. After they get back in the cage Shawn is a bloody fuckin mess. Taker whacks him hard with a steel chair. He calls for the tombstone....

The lights go off....eerie music starts playing...Out comes Paul Bearer "and that...thats gotta be Kane!" Kane rips the cell door off of its hinges. Taker is in shock. Theres an explosion around the ring. That distracts Taker and then Kane tombstones him! Taker is KO'd and shawn manages to drape his arm around him. 1...2...3.

The first ever hell in a cell match and it is a great one! Also an eerie and great debut for Kane. This match is close to perfect and only not because of the screwy ending. 4.5/5

Who is shanes challenge this week? Its Phil LaFon. The crowd goes nuts with a welcome back chant! His partner doug furnas says they have been in the WWF the last 11 months but he didnt know they had to come here to ECW to find the biggest horse shit in the business and points at douglas! lmao this is gold!!

During the match we get a shes a whore chat at Francine. lolol. Good match. Bam Bam and Candido come out to help Douglas so Furnas had to get involved as well. All in all a highlyyyyyyyyyyyyy entertaining opening 20 minutes.

The Pitbulls come out to berate the fans! He talks about how ECW has a bunch of midget champions. Especially that midget taz! Bret wants HHH tonight. Hart foundation leaves. Shawn has two words for Bret "suck it." Shawn says the business needs shawn and he only works main events while Bret works every night. He says the only reasons Bret is in the main event in survivor series is because HBK is there too. He says Bret is the paper champion since Shawn is always in the main event.

Man this show was all over the place but it was pretty entertaining because of it.
