Oooh, yeah watch that bacon grease while in the buff.....and yeah the apron opens to the back, you're tuned away from dude....hmmm how does this story end? Just keep your boobs out of my half of the grits when you're bent over the stove.

Just in the interest of keeping things from going to waste, I'll be more than happy to take my grits with some boob, thanks girls. πŸ™‚ Bonus points for liking grits MMAI! A little butter and sugar on em, maybe some cinnamon when I'm feeling a little kinky... that's good stuff.

They're also great as a side with bbq with some cheese or cream cheese.

Well I do come from cow town in Ohio. I have Missouri and Arkansas roots too. I love anything BBQ but I can't say I've had that nor have I ever thought about that combination.

I have the ingredients to make these with caramel inside but I have to say the runny molten lava look is more appealing. Yeah, I'm just now catching up with all these nympho posts.

Nah.... I think the fish just aren't biting today. I'll just leave the pole, go get some work done, and see what's on the line when I come back. πŸ˜‰ I promised the dog Ice Cream today, and she's smart enough to know what that means, and remember it. lol Off to town we go...

To entice my dog to eat in her last days I saw a freezer at my local grocery store that had "dibbs" for dogs. Vanilla bean coating with peanut butter inside. They smell good enough to eat, but they may be made with unicorn meat so I'm not going near them. My Dumbo Rat loves them though...snatches them right out of my hand.

Grits are like any other starchy stuff... like potatoes and certain other veggies: Anything that goes good on one starch will probably fly fine on another one, done right. The cheese grits are awesome, I was iffy about them at first but tried them at my buddy's restaurant, and they were amazing. You can google for recipes, goes great when you want to do something different than potatoes as a side.

The same buddy's restaurant would also smoke potatoes along with the brisket, pulled pork, and other smoked meats... then make smoked potato salad as a side. HIGHLY recommended if you are good enough with a smoker/grill and willing to put in the time. That's something I will be doing this summer. πŸ™‚

Mmmmmm that sounds good. Some hickory for me please.

Definitely love mesquite for steaks and chicken. I use rubs for them all the time or mix with wine and let them sit for a few days in the marinade. Pork...I have a good apple wood rub. These things have to be store bought when you live in the suburbs. I miss the smell of fireplaces and burning leaves in Ohio. I miss sitting in a folding chair out in the back yard with a hotdog or marshmallow on a stick. I'm right at home around a pit or fire with something sizzling over it.

Haha CP. The last two paragraphs especially. Nope, I can't get farm raised fresh meat here. Ohio is all about venison but it's too gamy and tough compared to what I'm used to. As for steak, I like em medium rare and I use all kinds of marinates from wine to lemon juice to vinegar. I love balsamic flavor in my red meat as well as my poultry, but I mix it with other things. I love balsamic and rosemary combinations in my chicken and pork. You should try orange zest and rosemary or lime, ginger and brown sugar for poultry.
Peeing in the back yard....same goes for sex in a launge chair. I love my seclusion. I hate having neighbors on top of me. My first night here, a man on the cross street was sweeping his sidewalk and it sounded like he was on my front porch. It's a beautiful, peaceful upscale village I live in but I miss seeing deer in my backyard. My sister has a huge property and a pond in their front yard. There's always deer coming up to their house. At least if I lived in Pennsylvania, I could have the best of both worlds. NYC would be close but I'd have wilderness all around me. I used to raise squirrels and raccoons....can't do that here.

Draz, this is still a record number of posts in one thread. You hid your posts so now we have to talk about bacon burns and nether regions.

Dude, you're hilarious! Yep....lounge chair. I know how to git it done.

Yep, I was going to say deer jerky and chili. It's too tough for much else. I love jerky. I do look for thick lean cuts of meat. Big bright red sirloin with just a bit of marbling. That is what I will leave in a wine and balsamic mix for days in the fridge. The mix of the two make a sweet savory flavor and I sprinkle some seasonings in there too. Most of the time though, I'll use a full bodied red wine without the vinegar. And dude....come on....no man is too macho to enjoy a good red with his steak or a white with his grilled fresh caught catfish or pork chop. Women want candlelit dinners where they can share a bottle of wine with you, she won't want you crushing a can of beer over your head before you carry her over to the lounge chair. Food for thought.

Love the squirrel and parakeet story. I can picture it vividly. My squirrel was so much fun. I was his momma. He would lay on his back and wrestle with my hand as I tickled his belly. He was aggressive toward other people to the point of growling when they gave him a nut. He'd snatch it out of their hand and run away. My raccoon orphan I got before his eyes and ears were opened. He made my finger sore and raw from using it as his pacifier. I had a baby skunk too. So stinking cute! I have had some rather amazing creatures. Tarantulas, snakes, (the snakes were hatchlings the size of shoestrings). There's not much fear of animals when you're a country girl. But amazing I really mean my flying squirrel and my sugar glider. Talk about funny behavior. My flying squirrel liked to stash his hazel nuts anywhere he could. I found one in my shoe way in the back of my closet and yes he ever put one in my underwear (while I was wearing them. Lol). My sugar glider would sleep on her back sprawled out while I rubbed her belly with my nose. Complete trust. She let out the cutest contented clicking noices. I adore animals. I've worked in the field most of my life. Now I've been there done all that and now going into medicine. Nothing like being "under" a doctor. Jk...my sights are only on Dr. Pisces. Well maybe he'll hire me someday and we can put the life support machines on autopilot and sneak off into an abandoned hospital room. I would never do that just so ya know. I'll wait til we get out to the parking lot after our shift is over. Hmmm who's gonna be the first to ::::shake their head at me::::?

I read about your beer and honey wine on another thread. That's why I mentioned it. I'm not a beer person but I'll most definitely try something homemade. And the honey wine sounds amazing. My Leo ex's dad offered me some homemade watermelon wine. It was good but it tasted more like the seeds.

I don't just get sirloin. I've gotten NY strip, T-bones and angus. I prepare it all the same though. I'll go over to your thread to read and share probable tonight after the kids are down for the night.

I had to leave my raccoon in Ohio when I moved here. I lived at home then and my dad used to have them when he was a kid do he took on responsibility. He was three or four months before he latched onto my dad's earlobe in play, but did not want to let go. My dad found a secluded creek out in BFE and released him there. He may not have been ready and my dad said he tried to follow him. My dad being a cap himself does what he wants and when he desides something no one will stop him. I didn't know til he already released him. I'll try to post some photos to my profile of my babies. I don't have any pics of the skunk. He was funny. He'd shake his butt and growl before pouncing on a piece of hotdog. Sorry no squirrel in pantie photos either. He had opposable thumbs so he ran under my shirt, pulled the elastic band and slide it right down my backside.

Well if I had to wait a year for my alcohol, I'll probably not be in the best of moods. It sounds appealing though. As for the coon.....I'll never know. The squirrel, once he was big enough to be on his own I'd walk out to a tall tree, he'd jump from my shoulder and climb up and play. He'd go up for about five minutes and come back to me. The next day...same thing but he'd stay up a bit longer. He'd jump back to my shoulder when he'd had enough and we'd head back inside. We did that everyday until he didn't want to come back to me. He'd stay out over night and be back on my porch in the morning. I went to cosmetology school all day and would come home to him sitting on the porch swing eating some seeds and nuts. We'd go inside and play til he wanted to go back out. One day he just never came back. I don't know if he found a girlfriend or if the cat got him. We had two black labs next door that would catch anything that couldn't outrun them, so I just don't know. The skunk went back to my Leo where he released him. He was my hunter boyfriend, the builder, the wine maker. My Aries....the only thing you have in common with him is your first name. Yeah Lady and Elustive and Midnite....we're on a first name basis, eat your hearts out. Oh wait....this is a group effort not a cat fight. Nevermind. πŸ™‚

CP, the way you're getting around here, I don't doubt that. Too bad I'm not the jealous type.

Chester huh? Mine was Jasper. Cute story. Reminds me of how my flying squirrel would behave. My dad and brother both had to get up at about 4:30 AM for work. A lot of times I was still away or heard them get up and couldn't fall back to sleep. Maverick, the flying squirrel was bouncing off all four sides of his cage so I'd let him out. The house was still pretty dark except for the light above the stove for their coffee. My brother would come from his room in nothing but his briefs and was giving a nice surprise when something came flying out of darkness and latched onto the bare skin on his back. I've never seen someone stick their chest out so fast and scream like a woman. Lol. My squirrel likes to run circles around me, in and out of my shirt. He liked to climb up the trim of the doorways and leap backwards and upside down landing in the middle of the room. His acrobats were hilarious. His belly faced the ceiling when he'd take his flying leaps.

Okay, how would you like it expounded? There are a number of methods and techniques for managing a gal... it's all a matter of positive reinforcement, proper feeding, care, and maintenance, some occasional grooming, and so on. lol

Mostly, if you've got a good one on your hands... let her know you think so, when you reflect on how beautiful she is make sure you tell her, tease her mercilessly (they love it), flirt, flirt, flirt, and make sure you show up with flowers now and then, go to some effort to do some man stuff or grill her a really great steak now and then, and do a few less obvious things like brushing her hair now and then and showing a little affection.

Disagree?

@CP- if you have grown up around redheads, you sure must know quite a few secrets!
You probably could make some money giving out that advice to some guys!

Redheads aren't really that difficult, just a little quick tempered when I'm backed into

They are definitely entertaining pets. The bond to you. He loved grapes and licking shipped cream off my fingers. They have gliding membranes and flat bever-like tails. Gonna grab my laptop and find some pics. That means you'll have to look at my profile.

cool! I'd love to see. I need to dig into an old hard drive of mine and see if I can get some pics of my old hen, Sweetie, who was super duper tame... she was as tame as any dog. She would come when called, actively sought out human affection, and on nice spring, summer, and autumn days when I'd take a nap out in a chair, she would hop up on my lap or chest, fluff out her feathers, and take a nap with me. A fox got her a year ago, (and of course I went on a varmint-genocide rampage after that for a while and got him and everyone else in this neck of the woods that would enjoy eating one of my girls). She was a great pet, they have much more of a personality than most people would think.

Thanks all for the welcomes... Much appreciated!! πŸ™‚

Honestly, I prefer a bit of crazy!! Keeps life entertaining!!

I must say I found the start of this thread hilarious, and then skipped on to the last 10ish pages,
realizing quickly of course that it had been turned in a fun direction!!
I'm in one of my insomniac weeks, as well as a bit confined currently allowing an injury to heal.
Thank goodness for the computer or I would really be going a bit nuts!!

I am a Libra sun/Scorp rising/Leo moon/scorp venus... dating a Scorp who is in hibernation currently.

Oh, and CP- my oldest sister is the bossy, pushy redhead, I just steer clear as much as possible!
If you have dated 3 redheads, you are one yourself, and you have them as family members, geez...
you must be almost an expert redhead wrangler!! πŸ™‚

Didn't think so. I'm proud of them too I might add. BTW animal pics are up.

Cute stuff! Love the baby raccoon. I wish they didn't turn when they got older. What kind of fry are those in your aquarium? I used love keeping freshwater fish. If I can score a 55-100 gallon tank from Craigslist this summer, I would like to go around the area here collecting indigenous small fish and aquatic plants, and do something with a local theme. πŸ™‚

The toad: Toad rescue? If I ever get the small rural farm I want, I'm going to try to catch toads, breed them, and release all the little toads around the property strategically. Toads are your best friend for controlling insects, other than some small birds like wrens, quail, and others.

I used to find walking sticks all over around here. They are neat!

What are the five little rodents in your hand... mice or those sugar gliders you mentioned? I only saw sugar gliders once, years ago.

Cute kiddoes. πŸ™‚

Haha, tell your fingers to take a breath. Those are red jewel cichlids from my 75 gal, which I forgot to post. They breed about every two weeks. Only a handful survive out of all those you saw. I have two in my 30 long peaceful aquarium that are about an inch long. They are growing so they can be reintroduced back in my big tank. I'm still digging through my stuff for the pics of the flying squirrel and glider. (I may post from the internet til I find some) My Jasper is on 35mm somewhere around here. I just found more pics of the raccoon bottle feeding. Those five critters are Chinese hamsters (the only nice hamsters from the start. Try picking up any other kind and get bitten to the bone) They sat in my hand and let me manipulate them for the picture. I took it at work (before I got fired for going off to my snooty manager who thought she could give me attitude (gets me every time). The baby toad I kept from getting stepped on in the parking lot of a baseball game over the summer. I love walking sticks...have a pic of me holding one of those too. Well, I love all animals, except for Possums. Funny because Sugar gliders are in the possum family.

@ Midnite- thanks, nice to meet you too!! πŸ™‚

@MMAI- why don't you like possums? (if you have covered this previously, just say so...I can
certainly go back and read

Hmmm not sure, I think my dad influenced me on that one. I really love all animals. If I saw a Possum that needed help, I would sertainly do what I could. I saw a baby in my back yard one morning while I was out there. It was cute and watching it made me smile. They are like running over a rock though if they run out in front of your car. I've not met an animal I didn't have compassion for. And the uglier, the cuter they are to me, so maybe I do like them. Would I have one for a pet? Well I have a rat so they can't be too far off from those.
