Honestly, even if someone who speaks of hate is president, I will still believe what I believe and stand by the people who dared and will continue to dare to be different. It's how we blossomed in the first place except now we're closer to each other. If gay marriage is illegal again, we will hold our own gay marriages, and make gay even gayer. There are other things he talked about and, as a people, we will just be TWICE as strong in what we KNOW and believe in.

Also, these protests, are a good sign of people refusing to be "force-fed".

The gay thing was just one example of many. In all these topics we care about, we will continue to do what we feel is the RIGHT thing as a people and with stronger footsteps in the ground of time.

Also,

Dear Russia, we wanted to be friends even before Trump got elected.

He did not need to get elected to form an alliance.

(And yes, I know what trump said about not protecting the other countries).

But to be realistic, I doubt Trump is gonna deport a bunch of people, over-turn gay marriage and make the US this conservative country or whatever. Immigration is probably gonna be harder, it's gonna be harder for people to apply for a refugee status and it's gonna be harder for people to get their US citizenships. Doubt anything major is gonna effect the gays.

And yeah, I agree with what you said in the more serious note. I was also wanting to imply that many more will be willing to help immigrants out as a people. And since many were really worried about "what's going to happen" symbolically, I just wanted to re-assure everyone that we're still in this together and there's a whole lot more of us who believe in true love and freedom. And one person in an "important" position/title is not going to change that.

No. Just as with abortion, the president can’t overturn a Supreme Court decision by himself, although he could appoint more conservative justices. Even then, the chance that the high court would reverse itself is very small. Unlike abortion, same-sex marriage has steadily gained in public approval.

Trump could try to reverse some Obama administration rulings that favored same-sex couples on issues such as federal benefits. He hasn’t suggested that he would. And if he did, his decisions could be challenged in court.

Thank you for quoting that for me 🙂 I know the gays aren't really vulnerable in any of this, but I wanted to get my point across using this topic as an example. That we can stick together and move forward twice as strong with any of these issues we care so much about.

I'm not even gay myself but I am willing to stand for what is I believe is right.

Then you can't really give it your 100% because it doesn't affect you. A gay man and a lesbian woman would fight harder.
