FYI, Bull lady, it takes money to make money, because as it turns out, it really does not grow on trees.
To mobilize a war in a foreign land cost several billions, true enough, but somebody has to make all the machines going over there. Not to mention, arming the men, and making the bullets and many other things that you will find most people will not do for free.
You see a healthy economy will break even on a medium size venture, and greater ventures can have even more pronounced economic effect as both world wars taught us.
So it is not war per se that costs us, it is the lack of any real industry to take advantage of the temporary material demand.
This trend started under Clinton, as in ex 'President Bill, my lips are moving therefore anything I say may be a complete fabrication, Clinton. Slick Willy did more to set the stage for economic disaster than any other president before him.His so called 'confidence' in the system reflected an economic policy built entirely out of thin air.
Point is, you say we spent billions in war? Child, we give that away and more, each and every year in foreign aid.
