Thats what people do. It's called projection.

It's a possible reason

His Venus and mars in Aquarius and he's like that— That's pretty weird to figure out...I guess with the Virgo moon, I could sort get the overbearingness, but not really.

OR perhaps astrology isn't everything.

He seems very Capricorn. His behavior is not typical to a Venus/Mars Aqua. In my experience with uncharacteristic behavior/placements, the placement is cuspy - on a cusp. Without seeing the chart, I can only imagine that is Venus is in very early degrees of Aqua - damn near Capricorn. But there are other possible astrological reasons.
