Compatibility

What do you need to know if you are compatible with someone? I know it's not all about the Sun sign but I'm just kind of new with this and still not sure what else i need to know. So any help will be great. Thanks =)

So, there's this Aquarian girl I asked about in the other post. prringLeo, you brought up something I was curious about: how much does time of day matter?

See, her friends are into astrology but she thinks it's a crock of crap. She'd never give me the birth time since she knows what I'd use it for! I could get the date easily enough, though.
