dealing with exes

Who here has ever dealt with an ex? If so, why did you decide to go back? Were you able to get over past issues and if so, how? Did it work out?

I'm in the process of dealing with an ex now. He's has been contacting me & I've been ignoring him until I finally cracked. Drunk dialed that is...smh. Yes I know. I didn't go back but I've really been missing him & thinking of him. I think I may ignore what I'm feeling though because it's just that, a feeling.

IDK if I'm over past issues. We would both have to work things out, him working harder than me...why? Because he's the man. He has to work harder for me than I for him & if we were to ever re-kindle anything he would have to make more of an effort for me & prove to me he has changed some things in order for us to work out, but...in the meantime I'm working on myself & that's a priority in which I cannot be deterred from.

just remind yourself why you two fell in love in the first place, and how it felt to not have that person in your life. anything is possible

I keep in contact with my exes. I feel like you spend so much energy on these people I can't just never see or speak to you again. That wasn't the question though lol! I have gone back to an ex, things ended but fir whatever reason, we still go back and forth with each other. We're on now as a matter of fact but I am dating other people. As someone else mentioned, there does need to be major dialogue so that things don't go south again. At this time I haven't had that conversation with him yet but maybe we will. I am not really in a good place to start a new relationship because I just got out of one. I think we could move forward and revisit it because the love has never been lost between us. There's something that keeps pulling us back together. 🙂 We'll see...

True. You do spend a lot of time and energy on relationships. However, most of the time I just walk away completely.the few that I have stayed in contact with have turned into great friendships.

Very romantic thinking of love.I have to admit I want to believe that love can be enough, but I doubt it lol. Call me cynical!

i never ever go back. i stay in the relationship for so long, giving 2nd, 3rd, 4th chances. hoping things will change. staying hopeful, etc.... until once i am done? Honnnnnnnney!!! I am DONE! There is no going back for me EVER!!!! I do mean EVER!!!!

This was my song to my first love after we parted only to be reunited some 20 years later and then to feel the heartbreak all over again when he died of cancer. Was so glad to spend the little time we had together again before his fate..I think if you feel that deeply for an ex and you know that there is a definite bond, give it a chance BUT and it's a huge BUT...it's nor an easy road, in fact it can be more difficult to regain the love again and you'll both need to be there 110%

Yes, that is right and I would have regretted it more had I not taken that second chance. However in saying that, all the same problems came forth, so you really do have to have a complete different attitude going in. You need to be clear of the issues that caused the breakdown in the first place and be willing to change them. That's the only way I see, 2nd time round being better and lasting.

Ughh , speaking of exes , its funny how when u final get over them and u have someone else , they come back wanting you AGAIN ! That's why taking Ya Ex Back Will Prove Too U For The Second Time Why U Broke Up W. Them In The First Place....

What about situation breakup? I am new here. I am a Virgo-Libra cusp and I believe in soulmate.
