thanks. like you said there are ups and downs but i think the downs make you stronger when you are able to come out the other side. i genuinely feel lucky to have found him.

yeah we have lots of laughs. lots of funny banter. we are never serious for very long. even our fights have jokes in them.

why the question?

i think there are a lot of people that are single here most likely because people are younger and hence their relationships are more likely to be unstable. unhappy relationships also illicit the most questions. don't let it skew your thinking though! i lot of my friends are in stable long term relationships.

20 years! Congrats! Gem and pisces is an interesting combo I think. Not an obvious one perhaps but you complete each other well! It's an important thing to be able to love & forgive.. Especially these days... People give up easily.

Thanks! The Pisces/Gemini thing--we were immediately physically and mentally drawn to one another. We both have complex emotional lives, and the relationship has been complex as a result with lots of phases. We know each other so well now we complete each other's sentences, and yet, he still pleasantly surprises me once in a while because Libra moons really do live in their heads a lot. We've become a lot more like each other over time, I've noticed. He's softened up. I've learned to control myself better.

I attract a lot of cap suns & cap moons, and other earth moons too. I am cap dominant .. cap mercury, Venus and Mars. I think that’s why. Communication and dealing with their feelings is difficult for them, so when problems arise it’s tough to work through it. As an aqua moon, I can stuff mine too but when I’m emotional holy cow. That never goes over well.

No there is no chance if reconciliation. We also have 2 kids who are adults now. He put us in a bad situation where his demons needed to be dealt with to get out. He chose the path of demons and enabling, I chose personal growth and the health of me & my children. He is now in declining health because of it & just married his gf for insurance purposes.. didn’t even have the balls to tell me. Yes so sad 😞

We moved cross country and then cross-Atlantic together and have a business together. Wish it would’ve worked out, but I’m glad I at least still have him in my life.

It was Halloween and we were at different parties and he was out having fun and didn’t text me at all and I realized how much I missed him. Haha. Total Leo needing attention thing, I guess. In the first month we broke up 2 times, again, mostly because I just didn’t want to be dating anyone, but finally I just couldn’t resist.

Thanks. Here's an example of a mini surprise. We're both literature nerds, but while I always enjoyed poetry, he used to make fun of it and call it word salad. The other day he shared a poem with me. Fifteen or so years after I last heard him say that, he's apparently changed his mind and started following poets on social media.

Trying to understand your partner, obviously you don't have to love the same things or share everything in common but actually taking the time to learn from one another.. And eventually perhaps opening your mind and heart to new ideas and /or ways .. Positive ones of course. That to mean is love.

It takes courage and strength to start over ( loving again, trusting again..) life can be unpredictable but I believe everything happens for a reason. Cliché but has proven to be true (in my case..)

Thanks 🙂 Lots of courage, growth, counseling & support groups. I’m much happier alone now than what happened in the last few years. But, yes I’m open to it. We’ve been divorced 7 years, I’ve had an off & on relationship with a Cap for 3 years, but I would like to meet one to go the distance again. I am definitely a relationship person. It’s taken awhile to be open to it though. I had a lot of healing to do.

Hitting roughly 5 years at this point.

I don’t know if length of the relationship is a qualifier for how successful a relationship is in the general sense. Sometimes the longer the relationship the worse it gets. I’ve seen a lot of 20-30 relationships end recently and they were pretty miserable. Haha.

🙂 the exact reason for my thread. Long term doesn't always mean *happiest... It's not that common at all. You have a lot of people that stay married or in relationships because of the children.. Or financially.. Or fear of being lonely and dating again.

Which is why happy long term relationship are fascinating to me . What makes them successful?

My parents are married +40 years.. They had ups and downs, it was rough sometimes but they are beautiful to watch today. I truly believe they keep each other young and healthy. It's corny but it's true. The dedication over the years they care for each other and sometimes behave like they're dating.. Very silly but sweet.

Aries M and gemini F is a common match in my circle too lol there's a pull in both signs apparently coming together lol

Pisces and gemini very cool.. Not common either!! Pisces sun and gem moon.. I don't think I've ever seen this combo before. You've met at work? My longest relationship was with a gem moon... Secondly she not only makes me want to be better but I am doing more to be better.

Thirdly she makes my heart happy. 😁

I've never been this honest before either. Every need or want or desire we have is bought up without hesitation, it's absolutely beautiful when you're able to communicate so cleanly without any fear of reprisal, guilt or rejection. It's a two way process and I love it.

I can see my future with her clearly, not something I've had before and I'm beginning plans and preparations for it.

Scorpio's for me has been the easiest to talk too.. second for me are virgos.

But scorpio's actually take the time to get to know his partner's nature. After a while lil to no words are needed.. they just know.

whereas virgos waits for you to actually say something then forgets or act like they've forgotten.

Communication is everything.. blunt and respectful deliveries gets me everytime.

Thanks! The Pisces/Gemini thing--we were immediately physically and mentally drawn to one another. We both have complex emotional lives, and the relationship has been complex as a result with lots of phases. We know each other so well now we complete each other's sentences, and yet, he still pleasantly surprises me once in a while because Libra moons really do live in their heads a lot. We've become a lot more like each other over time, I've noticed. He's softened up. I've learned to control myself better.

Well I'm at a point where I know the things I want and the things I need in a partner. She fulfils that.

Secondly she not only makes me want to be better but I am doing more to be better.

Thirdly she makes my heart happy. 😁

I've never been this honest before either. Every need or want or desire we have is bought up without hesitation, it's absolutely beautiful when you're able to communicate so cleanly without any fear of reprisal, guilt or rejection. It's a two way process and I love it.

I can see my future with her clearly, not something I've had before and I'm beginning plans and preparations for it.
