I have a question to ask you guys. A little unusual but right up your freaky alley πŸ˜‰

My natural hair color is red hair. But nobody knows that cause my hair is dyed blonde. The way it is dyed, I pass for a normal blonde. Because people are usually surprised when i tell them it is not my real color.

There have been numerous stories in the media about England's hatred of gingers (mostly just men). So far as to even attacking them verbally and physically. And lot of british women have been outspoken about finding men of the redhaired persuasion "repulsive"

My question is do you think it is as bad here in the states?

My answer is yes, based from my own experience. As a child and through my teens I was berated by girls and boys for having it. The worst one was being called Opie by a girl in junior high. Women never really looked my way in high school. Let me change that, during senior year one girl did. But she was dating a friend of mine at the time. See, I was attracting taken women even then πŸ˜‰

It wasnt till after high school my luck with the opposite sex changed. But for only one reason. I was extremely bored with my hair color and the way it was style d. On impulse, I decided to color it blonde.

Immediately, I noticed the difference. People were much nicer to me and women started coming in droves. Even red haired girls were interested It was nice to actually have attention from girls for a change.

But during the off times when I wasnt fully blonde, noticed a difference. Usually when I get my hair cut it ends up being blonde on top with red on the sides. But the hair on the sides looks like brown hair.

During these times women showed no interest. There was one girl I used to run into a lot around town. She was a attractive brunette. But the first couple of times I saw her she gave a very not interested, standoffish vibe. Then when I had my hair fully blonde again I saw her. This time she approached me and I got immediate compliments on my hair. She was active in the conversation and even touched me a few different times.

I cut the conversation off and said I had to go. She asked for my number and I said no. She asked why and I said "I dont date women who are that shallow" and walked away. And this same pattern with other girls who frequented the same spots I did persisted.

It's a good thing I only dye my hair for myself not anyone else. to be finished next post πŸ˜‰

The message I've gotten from this experience is hide who you are, and people will like you. Be yourself, and people will stay away like a plague.

I am a little envious of red head girls. Cause they are treated differently for the most part than the guys are. And attracting the opposite sex is much easier. Oh well, you cant always get what you want right? Time to get rid of the red.... :0

"Be assured no one will make you a target for being red though"

Thanks. Good to know I wont be getting any "Deliverance" style attack on me if a visit ever happened. Ironically enough, a lot of british women I've met showed interest in me. But that was because of being blonde 😒

" Red hair is lovely. I even had my hair coloured red once because i wanted to be a red head"

That is because red hair looks good on women. Guys, in most women's eyes not so much. Red head gals have a much easier time of it dating wise than we do.

"i hope i'm not being too probing but what do girls say when they look down there? Does it mean you colour there as well?
Do they bob their heads gobsmacked??!!!"

You are, but that's ok πŸ˜‰ Uh, I dont know kind of embarassing, but what the hell just a forum right? No one is ever going to meet me so I guess it's ok to say.

I will immediately acknowledge the severe gay/lameness of this. But I do it for a particular reason. TMI ALERT! Avert eyes if you dont want to know....

I shave down there. There is no testicle hair. I do it so if I have sex with a girl, there's a much more pleasurable experience for her. But for all my known liberal views about sex, I'm kind of shy with my body. I dont even let a girl give me oral. I happily give oral to her which women find strange, since I say no to them reciprocating. For one, I find bj's to be unfulfilling. Two, there's an enormous amount of size queens out there who think any dick less than 9 inches is small.

I think my size is decent. Still though, I want to show these girls a man's size has nothing to do with the fact she'll be able to come like a porn star. It's the skill and technique involved. I'm happy for them to look afterwards. When I know they have a genuine smile on their face πŸ™‚

But women will know I have red hair if they look closely at my arms. The hair dont lie. But as David Spade once said "If you're guy with red hair, you might as well just kill yourself" Or just get it dyed :0~~~~~

" a guy doesn't like a blowjob?"

Yes, we do exist. I know a lot of women complain about men being terrible with oral, which is valid. But guess what? A lot of women SUCK (Pun Intended) at blowjobs. I remember being with this one girl in particular. She was all gung ho about planting her lips down there. I was like "ok" (I dont ask for oral sex unless a girl wants to really do it)

I swear to god, it felt like I was getting my dick sucked by someone from the special olympics. She couldnt even bring me to orgasm. I literally stopped her midway, flipped and ripped her panties off for oral to save embarassment.

Honestly there is no excuse, cause sucking a dick should be a hell of a lot easier then eating out a clit.

"Pussies really dont care if you have hair on your balls."

Actually I was talking more about the area where the shaft is. I think a woman would probably want to feel all of a guy's dick and not the bushy trees.

Great, I got the theme song from Shaft stuck in my head. *Who's the private dick, that's a sex machine to all the chicks? Shaft! Damn right.*

HAHAHAHA!!! Too funny.

I'd often wondered the same thing as I'd heard that we redheads aren't well recieved in the UK. I'd read about a whole family that claimed they had to move because they were basically ran out of town for being gingers. What?!?!

When I was in high school I went blond too. My best friend was blond and she talked me into it. I figured what the hell. Did I notice a difference? Yep! And not in a good way. It was so strange. I was always known as "the redhead". Most of the guys that hit on me are strictly redhead guys OR they tell me that they prefer redheads but we are too hard to find (I had one guy tell me *most* redheads are either very ugly or smokin hot no inbetween).
So I let my hair go back to my natural color my senior year and I've left it alone since. It was really hard for me not to identify my personality with my hair color. Even when I was blond I got asked it I was naturally a redhead ... something to do with how mouthy and fiesty I was πŸ˜›

I get approached ALOT due to my hair color. It's not even just guys hitting on me. I had an older lady come up to me with tears in her eyes once and tell me her hair was my color when she was young and how pretty my hair was. Alot of older men have approahed me to tell me that they use to be married to a redhead or their first love was a redhead and such. It's always about my hair. They always identify my hair color to those memories.

Sometimes I hate my hair. There are certain colors I can't wear because it'll clash. I DO stand out in a crowd more. I don't nessisarily like that (come on I'm a Scorpio). But it's who I am. I get alot of teasing for it, I get alot of compiments for it. There realy is no middle ground.
One really really good thing is..... a redheaded freckled woman NEVER pays for her drinks on St. Paddy's day πŸ˜‰ I always turn into the poster child of the Irish on St.Paddy's day if I'm in bar. That's kinda cool. πŸ˜› My friends use to fight over who was gonna take me out for that day. lol
I really think FB that you should embrace the red. Let people accept you for who you are and those who don't.... Ginger power!!! Tell em to take a flying leap!! πŸ™‚

"I really think FB that you should embrace the red. Let people accept you for who you are and those who don't.... Ginger power!!! Tell em to take a flying leap!!"

"And generally, I find that people are rather impressed with my hair. I've been told that people pay thousands of dollars to get my hair color"

First off. Thanks GingScorp and Feisty Aquarian for your feedback and kind words. Appreciate that. I realize you guys have good intentions. But the point you all seem to be missing is you're GIRLS.

As I mentioned earlier, redhead women have a much easier time of it socially and dating-wise than guys. Of course people are going to compliment and be attracted to your hair. Red haired women tend to be more socially accepted than men

Not one person ever complimented me when I was a redhead. And most women steered clear of me. I'm sorry, but that was a sad and lonely existance.

This is going to sound crass, but a very relevant truth unfortunately. In terms of being a guy, blondes gets laid, red has to pay.

Because my hair is blonde and very spikey, I tend to get Billy Idol jokes on a daily basis. Dont know about you guys, but I'll take that anyday of the week over Seth Green ones πŸ™‚

"I guess you are just in the wrong place of the world. Either that, or you have to wear an uniform"

I definately think your uniform is helping you in that respect. Girls love military men. You could be the long lost twin brother of Chris Farley. But when you put on that military uniform, girls will be following you around like a lost puppy dog.

Wrong part of the world? Tell me about it. Most single gals I meet here (aside from a select couple of locals) who like me are almost always from out of state or out of town. Rest of the time its bored girlfriends/wives after me. I need to start a fundraiser called Help A Burrito Fly The F--k Out Of Texas.

"flying burritos honestly I think u have a self imposed hatred (cuz of ur hair color) and ur lack of confidence (due to this fact) is what throws up the deflector shield for girls not an adversity to red hair.."

Normally, I would take what you're saying into major consideration. Except for one teeny, tiny, little ole thing. My personal experience. I have countless stories to tell of my various adventures with women during my redhead days. These girls were every flavor of the female persuasion, - (brunette, blonde, hispanic, african american, indian, pink, red, green , blue etc.)

And everytime they would tell me this excuse or some variation on it when asking them out. "You seem like a nice guy, but I'm not into redheads" If that wasnt a wakeup call, I dont know what is.

Then when I became Draco Malfoy, women were asking me out. So I dont think its necessarilly self-imposed.

"as for any prejudgment based on looks, it's laughable..."

You would be very surprised to know its not that different. Men can be real shallow douchebags no doubt. But women take it to a whole new Super Mario level.

I've seen it with my own two, or four eyes πŸ˜‰. As I previously mentioned, women that rejected me as a blonde redhead were all ready to do nothing short of jump my bones when it was fully blonde. I had the same hair style the entire time, but the full color of it made the difference.

There's nothing wrong with being shallow in dating. You have to be physically attracted to someone. But only to a point. I mean come on, when a girl starts getting all queer eye for the straight guy over a guy's hair color, that's lame.

LOL Fiesty. I've heard we are going "extinct" too. I'm not so sure abou that though. My cousins ALL have redheaded kids and my cousins are blond blue eyed German folk!! lol
It's the Irish side that tends to get a wild hair (hehehe) and every now and then we get a redhead out of nowhere in the fam. So I'm not thinking we are going to be totally wiped out.

I am hoping for a redheaded child though πŸ™‚ I'll let ya know in a few years.

VH... you dawg you πŸ˜‰

I really don't go off hair color or even looks when it comes to dating FB. Shallow girls do that and you don't want that type anyway. I *do* tend to notice redheaded guys more though as kinda a kindred spirit type πŸ™‚ I think Cole Hauser is a hottie. AND he played a Navy SEAL in Tears of the Sun *drools* (I'm not sure how to post pics) hehehe I'm kinda slow. πŸ˜›

The uniform thing WORKS. ALL the guys I've dated since high school were military guys. What? I'm a sucker for the uniform.

Ha! PP! I knew you'd think he's hot! He is quite yummy. πŸ˜›

It's a WAR movie (sorta about Navy SEALS) but he's in it and he is so hot in his uniform. You can sit through it and at least check out the man candy PP. Even if it is a war movie. There's some serious muscle going on and .......*drools* uniforms.

He's also in Dazed and Confused and he's def a ginger in that. Sometimes red hair looks darker in pics.

Satori ... I love the kitty! Aw the cutest ginger on the whole thread. πŸ™‚

Prince Harry is kinda a hottie too πŸ˜›

You can kinda tell by his skin also. He kinda has a lighter complexion with some freckles (I think) freckles are kinda hard to pic up on camera too. Julianne Moore has a TON of freckles but they are kinda hard to see when she's doing a movie. It's only certain pics you can see how many she has.

You've never seen Dazed and Confused PP? He's in that and his hair is red for sure.

not gonna lie, i don't dig gingers AT ALL. why does it have to be a shallow thing? it would be more shallow if she met u and, say, u had a mediocre job with mediocre pay and she knew it so she didn't like u. then next time u met u found a job that put u in the 6 figure income range and all of a sudden she wanted u. we're all attracted to what we're attracted to. i'm a brunette and there are a lotta guys out there who dig only blondes. i could care less. i could lose an extra 10 pounds and there are guys out there who only want super fit, tight bodies. don't care!

hmmm, maybe it's a primal response. see, ur a ginger because u gained all the recessive genes and not the dominant ones. maybe it's deeply encoded that ur genes are not the healthiest ones. not trying to put u down, just trying to look on the scientific side. i couldn't tell u why i'm not attracted to gingers, i'm just not. now, i don't mind auburn red heads or strawberry blondes. i just don't find myself physically attracted to bright orange hair and freckles. i think girls can pull it off more because it can be cute (?) i'm not attracted to albinos either if it makes u feel slightly better.

also, i don't like a penis any larger than 8" and that's pushing it. it's definitely how u work it that counts. i do like it when a guy trims. guys can get way bushier than a girl. maybe it's because i love to perform oral. he doesn't need his balls shaved unless he prefers them receiving attention too. besides, i keep mine neat because i love to receive oral and i'd like to not kill the mood with him having to stop and brush away hair or pull some from his teeth. another thing about less hair is it keeps the foul odors away. hair traps a lot of bacteria.

They also say only 1 in 3 persons have red hair... both my parents were brunette but had 3 redheads (my aunt was a redhead and had all brunettes). Go figure. Personally, given the fact that my hair is auburn, my sister's is an orange red and my brother is a strawberry blond I am not attracted to redheads. HOWEVER, my brother married a girl who looks like Heather Graham. He's since divorced, but did snag himself one hot chick!

I used to dye my hair brown because I didn't like all the red highlights... it's much more prevalent in the summer. But, I've been asked by beauticians if I dye my hair and am told that it is beautiful so I've learned to live with it.

Be yourself not who you think others want you to be!

Normally, I wouldnt bring a thread back from the dead. But I felt this warranted a response from moi. There's nothing wrong with not being attracted to gingers.

My hair is very brunette looking red actually, not the nasty carrot top type. My issue is the women who dont want anything to do with me when my hair is blond red - (blonde on top, red on the sides) But when the sides of my hair are blonde, they are all over me like I'm Tommy Lee.

I'm sorry, but that's way too shallow. Ninja, this is no attack on you, but the funny thing is all the brunettes who bitch up and down about blondes are all on my jock because I am one. So, isn't

Stupid website cut rest of my post out.

Continued...

Isnt that a bit of a contradiction? Back in high school, I used to chase after brunettes all the time. But they wanted nothing to do with me. So I dont feel any amount of pity when brunettes bitch about men liking blondes.

Im thinking of cutting all my hair off. With the same hair style Brad Pitt had in Mr. And Mrs. Smith, Just because its winter season and I'm really tired of doing this metrosexual bs like dying my hair. I'm really scared of doing it though. Cause I know once all my blonde is off, brunette/darkhaired girls will want nothing to do with me.

Since that option is gone, does anyone know if a lot of blonde girls are attracted to redhead guys? I've seen some redhead guys with blondes but wasnt sure if those were just rare instances. I know blonde girls like the dark hair color, I just wondered since my hair will look red-brown if that will help. If anyone here is friends with blondes feel free to ask them LOL.

If I know for certain that I have an viable option out of one type of girl, then the hair will do a David Blaine. But I am terrified of doing this and having it blow up in my face.

Then I'll have to spend an unusual amount of quality time with Playboy.com, and a jar of vaseline 😒

Hey Satori!

First, let me answer Sekhmet's question. My hair years ago had a light redness to it. (Ok, wow this really sounds frakkin' Queer eye for the straight guy. I'd never thought I would actually discuss out loud my hair style . Shoot me now)

Anyway, apparently it has a brown color tone now on the sides anyway. So I cant really use red dye on it.

I got my haircut yesterday. Before then I thought long and hard about going "au naturale". I flashed back to every experience with girls as a redhead in high school. With 2 girls being the exception, every other one placed me under the "Welcome To The Dollhouse" category.

Granted, I never really tried hitting on blondes as a straight up redhead. (Why did I have to be so obsessed with brunettes at the time, gah.) And my hair back then went the way of Ronald McDonald.

Ultimately, I decided not to shave it all off. It was way, way too much of a risk. I did however have the stylist shave more of the sides of my hair off. Now there is no mistake, you can definately tell my hair is red on the sides this time. But its not bright orange, still brownish with the red color being a bit more obvious now.

I dont mind necessarily bleaching my hair, but its really expensive to do it. It costs me almost 20.00 in hair dye supplies every time. Argh, the effort you have to put in to look like a natural blonde and not a bleached one.

My day is free today, so I'll be on the prowl so to speak. I mostly am just going to try hitting on blondes just to gauge if there is initial interest.

The next day will be trying out different flavors of fruit loops, metaphorically speaking. After a week, if there is no interest back to the bleach. And further transformation into my generation's Andy Rooney.

BTW Satori, its not that I'm not looking for anything serious. Even though I've become a 100% Mr. Freeze regarding relationships. If a miracle happens and I meet a single 29-30ish gal, definately would like to see what happens.

But I doubt that will happen, because this is the south, after all. And everybody here gets married by the time they hit 23. And yet we have one of the highest divorce rates. Wow, what a surprise! Seriously, what the hell is it with 20 somethings wanting to grow up fast?

But yes anything under 29 is footloose and fancy free. No strings. Finish next post...

i skipped the last 2 pages due to lack of time, but i still want to add my piece.

maybe things have changed? and i totally don't get why there's an issue over in england. that just seems weird.

but i have a major thing for redhead guys. especially the more orange type, not the brownish type (it's just brown, geez. accept it). assuming he's otherwise attractive. especially if he's got that stereotypical pale skin with a bit of freckles and light eyes and such. yes, very nice.

but i'm also the more passive type. i don't really ever hit on guys. maybe there were girls who liked your hair and you just didn't know it because they were the same?

i've definitely read that red hair is fetishized as dominant by submissive types, so maybe if you were to go back to your natural color, you'd be wise to play that up a bit?

btw...i find that oral done for the sake of showing off is pretty much always bad. while oral done for the fun of it usually ends up pretty good. a lot of girls don't seem to understand that.
