We're long distance right now...and we talk several times a day.
It's more his wish than mine. We get in fights about it all the time.

He thinks I don't call/text him enough...I think it's silly the number of times a day he expects to hear from me
I don't feel I should have to call and update him every time I go to the bathroom. :/

Always first thing in the morning, at least once during the day and if we aren't together at night, then before bed. Text all day though. At the beginning of our relationship I would wait for him to contact me first. He still usually contacts me first, but if I need to talk to him I'll call him.
