Major differences between Gemini, Leo, and Virgo Ascendants

My man of 2.5 years doesn't know what time of day he was born, and it's driven me nuts not knowing his natal chart. Lucky enough, I looked at the day he was born and the moon moved from Scorpio to Sagittarius at 9:11am. He's definitely a Lunar Scorpio; it suits aspects of his personality. (eg he's all about off-the-wall theories which Sags reject). Figuring that out pares down the Ascendant options quite a bit. That leaves me with Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, and Virgo.

He's a Cancer Sun, and watery as can be. Sensitive and emotional, very intellectual and philosophical, always researching theories, nervous energy. Wears a mask in public that feigns confidence and almost arrogance, but most can tell it's not genuine. He does care a lot what people think of him, but acts like he doesn't. He's a little mischievous and very creative. On the pessimistic side and can have a temper sometimes.

SO, what are the biggest differences between Ascending Geminis, Leos, and Virgos? I've ruled out Taurus, and I took away Cancer because I read that Cancer Ascendants don't wear masks like that. He seems to have a bit of each of the other signs, though.

Any help at all would be appreciated...I'm so close!
