Venus in Leo guys and jealousy?

So I've had a casual thing with Venus in Leo (let's call him H) guy for almost a year, so casual it can barely be called casual... we slept together back in December most recently (no boning, just snuggles) and spent the following day just chilling together, which actually felt like the most intimate we'd been even though we didn't have sex. When we started casually sleeping together back in April, I'd message him to strike up conversation every now and then, but wouldn't get much of a reciprocal conversation from him, so I gave up. However, when we do see each other in social situations we usually end up sleeping together.

The other night I was with him and some of our friends, and they have a new room mate (let's call him T) who I got on with quite well, but not enough for me to think anything of it or for me to believe anyone else did. The two of us went on a food run for everyone and while we were gone, my friend joked about how well myself & the new guy were getting on and laughed about "what if they really hit it off!" and she mentioned to me the following day that she thought H was jealous because he started going off about how he could lift more & do more reps at the gym than T. Later that night, H and I went upstairs when everyone else had gone to sleep & kept chatting, then T came out of his room for a cigarette. Apparently when I went to the ladies room, H told T that he thought I was into T, so he should give it a go. This was after we found out T was in an open relationship & H was bragging about his ability to "open & close" as a wingman.

I'd been getting on well with H that night and he'd talked me up to T while we were sitting together and talked about how I'd be an "amazing girlfriend", so I don't really get why he was wingmanning me when there was genuinely no interest from me in T? Do some Venus in Leo guys have a tendency to act like jealous twats and push people away after complimenting them? He's also a Virgo sun btw and I am a Sagittarius sun/Venus in Aquarius.
