Dating Hiatus Officially ON
Thanks so much, Metoo. I haven't heard a peep since Tuesday ... no requests to go to lunch, another weekend passes without being asked on a date. It's been a month since we hooked up, at this point I'd say it ain't happening.
If he does call, which he may just be egotistical enough to do, I will ignore him. I explicitly told him that I didn't appreciate his "now you see, me now you don't" BS, and he had agreed to knock it off. Frankly, he either doesn't care what I think, or he has no idea how to treat a woman respectfully. Either way, it doesn't bode well for a future with this guy - he is a classic @ssclown.
I'm very much about paying attention to red flags now, and trusting my gut. I am not settling anymore, and I'm sure as anything not allowing myself to be taken advantage of anymore. Onward and upward!!!

Metoo: yep ... I LOVE Baggage Reclaim. I started reading it just recently, now that I'm "back out there," or was! I don't know whether the rules have changed over the past 20 years ... I'm guessing that they have a bit with texting etc ... But it also seems like there are a lot of 40-somethings acting like they're still 20-somethings. Whatever it is, I'm not ready.

For those who haven't been following my ridiculous story, I've been dancing around with a Libra for about 3 months now. He chased, I ignored (I wrongly thought he was married). We hooked up at a convention a month ago. He stood me up on a date and then disappeared. I called him on it, he disappeared again. Two weeks later, he's back in touch . . . on and off communication every few days. He knows I'm interested, he knows I'm single.
He hasn't asked me for a date, regardless of a couple of softballs that I've tossed his way.
WTF. This is not cute, it's not sexy, it's not enticing. It's stupid. I'm too old for this butter, and so is he.
Should he e-mail again, I'm ignoring it. I think a month is more than enough time to pick up the phone and ask someone out. If a man is interested, he'll show it -- this guy clearly isn't.
