Ok my new crush lives in a different city...so only means of communication we have is PHONE...more texting

One of my friends was giving me some advice on reverse psychology...

She told me to text him a lotttt for 3 days and then disappear...That is when reverse psychology applies...so he is gonna text me more...

What is this? Does it really work—

How far is this...city? If someone i was intimate with texted me for 3 straight days and disappeared i'd be pretty perturbed. Just be adults (assuming you are one). And carry normal conversations. Give each other space so you don't fizzle out. And if things look bleak either find a way to fix it or take a step back and part.

Have to take a flight to reach that city-that far...

Flight is not a problem, if you can afford it on a regular basis, can you? or he? there are cheap flights nowadays, its not a big problem

reverse psychology is working, the person will think of you definitely, why you suddenly stopped communication..... and maybe think of you more romantically, its proven..... but be aware! if you apply it regularly, the other person will think that you are inconsistent and will get used to it and maybe not take it seriously?

some people fall in love with this, but its not that they fall in love with your personality, is it? just with your unavailabity

I agree with @buttwipe. Don't play mind games if you really like the girl, just be adults. Your going to give her mixed signals and she's just going to get tired of it & find someone who can appreciate her.

Yes i guess,playing silly games in matters of love would be a stupid thing to do..thanks for the advice..answer to the side question - 1 LDR since 4years
