So, I went out on a first "date" last night with an Aqua dude, his birthday is February 14th. It was a little awkward at first, I'm not a huge fan of dating. He's a friend of my sisters from highschool, but I haven't ever hung out with him before.
We went to dinner and had a beer, and then I suggested this dive bar that had ping pong. Overall it was fun, it was a long one, about 6 hours. We both had a good time, but I wouldn't say the time of our lives.
When we left, he thanked me and I thank him for the night, we hugged and that was it. There was no "I'll call you later this week, or let's do this again".
So... what should I expect from here? I'm over the chasing, I did enough of that in the past to learn that just because you want something right then and there, doesn't always mean you should chase it. I have a feeling though that if I don't reach out, he won't either.
Yeah, I'm kind of feeling that way also. I need to make sure I don't put myself in a position of doing all the work and putting forth all the effort like I have in the past and have him work for it... if he is interested that is.
In the past I'm always way too accommodating and do a lot for the dudes, but they always seem to have the same result... which is me being taken for granted way too early in the game. I need to focus on change.
Hear hear. It's the worst. I keep looking for this relationship where you meet and there is just this natural rapport between the two of you. No awkward date. You just click instantly and the guy says "Hey lets go grab some dinner and find something to do after." No awkwardness and he calls the next day!!
