Have you ever been stood up before?

If so, on a scale of 1-10 how pissed off were you about it?
Did the person who stood you up give you an explanation?

No .. if you're talking about a date, or a boyfriend.

Yes .. by a friend with plans to hang out about 5 or 6 years ago. I was furious, for it was with our families to get together and my mother had fussed all day in preparations .. when she ditched us, my mother cried for hours.

She's still my friend .. however, on my terms now. She sees me at my convenience, with no compromising on my part. If she sees me, it's because I've decided to go to her house .. she doesn't get invited to mine, nor to go hang out anywhere.

Yes, years ago. It was the first aqua I dated, we'd been dating for about a month, maybe less, and we arranged to meet after I finished work. I waited for about 15-20 mins, then phoned him to see what was happening, but got no reply. So I went home. I was fuming but also worried cos I wondered if anything bad had happened to him. I finally got a call from him, about 4 hours later, saying he was still in love with his ex. I was pissed off cos he could have let me that earlier about this so I wouldn't have been stood about like an idiot and worrying that he was mangled in a gutter somewhere. I laugh about it now, but at the time I was gutted! Was about 17 I think.

I had gotten stood up by my professor. I sent her an email last night stating that I did in fact show up for our appointment. I hope she's alright. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't pissed.

Yes- I have been stood and felt like- damn I just dont mean nothing to this person.
He explained and I was ok after a day or 2. But I think you have to look at the circumstances. People judge things of importance different. So I would say if it happens alot- you might have cause for concern. I have also done it- because sometimes you cant help it. Just give it a chance and go from there. Dont take it personally. But dont be so available either. Girls like alittle chase too.
