You look out for someone (X), and caution them about so and so, and then they don't believe you, not only that, they play you for a foo, turning on you instead, and siding the person you cautioned them about?

1. You just think how stupid X is and will leave them to their demise
2. You feel doubly hurt and betrayed by X
3. You try, try again even if it makes you look bad
4. Leave it, cut off all ties (friendship or relationship) and pretend X (and the other) never existed in this world.
5. Try to get an outsider to help (even though the chance is 1% , since they know nothing about situation)
6. (insert your own)

Depends on the situation & on what the potential loss is if I actually AM right & if that person chooses not to take my advice.

We can't be selfish though. Hell, none of us listen to every piece of advice we're given, so we have to understand that others work the same way.

If my friend/family member/husband has alot to lose if they make the wrong decision or don't take my advice, of course my anxiety & frustration will be at a higher level, BUT at the same time I always have to remind myself that some people learn best when they fall hard on their own ass FIRST.

Some of us grew to become so wise b/c we often listened to the advice of others even when we really didn't want to. Others are so wise b/c they experienced trial & error themselves.

You can tell though when someone is dead set on being self-taught & NOT listening to anyone's advice. I leave those kinds of people alone. There's no use in stressing myself out or getting others involved if I know that doing so will backfire & possibly even ruin the friendship/relationship.
