Isn't this awkward?

My friend received a text message from an Aries guy she's recently been seeing this morning & it said, (And I quote): "Sorry I didn't text/call you last night. I was feeling under the weather. Other than God, & my daughter, I thought about you when I woke up."

Is it just me or was that awkward?

She's not complaining. It's just that she found it odd that he couldn't just simply say that he woke up thinking about her lol Why did he have to bring God & his daughter into it?

I'm sure some of you have gotten that 1 odd message/voicemail from someone where they end up saying something extra & unnecessary that makes things awkward or takes away from what they were really just trying to say!

1 of my ex boyfriend's once texted me, "I hope the world never ends b/c if it does, I'll be more upset that I didn't get the chance to propose to you than I'd be upset that the world was ending." I'll never forget that text b/c it made me think wtf! lol

Some people have odd ways of telling you things that are meant to be sweet

Again she wasn't complaining, taking it in a bad way or thinking of his text in a negative way

It's just funny & slightly awkward when someone whose trying to say something simply sweet messes it up when they try to add a bunch of extra stuff to it lol

What is your chart look like...? Most girls like that... and think it is romantic... maybe you have given up on love or maybe you have never found true love...

As though with true love no words are needed to be said because the energy between is enough...

Then again maybe that was too much lol

Oh bull! If someone texted you, "Baby, other than God & my gold fish, I thought about you when I woke up" a part of you would be like uhhh awkward! Even if just for a split second! lol

lol we both just thought it was funny

She thought it was cute & felt slightly awkward that he brought God into it lol

From what she's told me, he does get nervous or shy & says things like "aww shucks" whenever she compliments him unexpectedly. Too cute

If I don't like what I see/read, or if I have an opinion of what I see/read, this is the forum to share it, whether that be happy, intelligent, in your face without the sugar frosting, or gently..no matter what anyone's "thoughts" are of me. What's obvious is your defensive demeanor toward that, and well, you are just gonna have to deal with that on your own in your own awkward way I guess.

Aries guys are far too intense for me to date! I would have replied with something sarcastic hoping to lighten the mood but probably instesd earn myself a dose of aries wrath! Haha

When we're talking about a thread I created, yep I'm going to respond to "bullbutter."

But when it comes to purposely clicking on threads from posters whose opinion I don't respect, I've got far better time on my hands.

lol why is everybody saying that Aries are so intense? Maybe I'm just not seeing it! The Aquarius in me, perhaps? I do see though that their tempers will get you killed lol
