Difference Between Loyalty and Faithfulness in Relationships

Loyalty refers to a commitment to stay true to someone or something, while faithfulness specifically relates to being sexually exclusive. Both qualities are important for trust in a relationship, but they are distinct. Understanding the difference helps clarify expectations and strengthens emotional bonds.

So this whole time I believe both came together as one. 80% loyal and 20 % faithful is that the new stat.. Why can't it be 100% for both..

What does loyal mean to you?
What does faithful mean to you? Obviously it's not the same.

So yes sex is number one the most important thing in a relationship. Right.

Which do you prefer loyal or faithfulness?

It's like a new question I may have to ask now.

Are you loyal or faithful, of course have you ever cheated or been cheated on...how did you handle it?

They mean the same just associated with different relationship status
Friends/Family Loyalty
Romance/Marriage Faithful
of course its not like the world isnt complicated enough and people have decided to separate words that are ment to have the same connotation. If so I dont care to re-learn.

No I saw someone post those two different things and wanted to randomly selected from that post or reply..

But I have been cheated on and I was always both faithful and loyal and I'm a Taurus will always stick by it to the tee.

But at least you're honest some people can't.. so ThAnks..

Haha my ex was loyal but unfaithful. I mean loyal he was always there for me, came home to cooking, and was there in bed most of the time by a reasonable hour. But he did cheat further along the years we were together..i guess he took advantage of my kindness for weakness..

and he was unfaithful because when he did start cheating, he was always gone or coming home late, lies, woman calling me or him, and people popping up at my door, even our kissing technique changed.. So that is weird.

At Sing-Let me clarify this. I mean yes back in the day but now no. I'm single and plan on it for awhile. That was a typo. So yes something did happen however not really because of the bad shit I went through. I posted this...just curious really.

Depending on the person some need only one and other need both.
I need both.
Whenever I am dating a guy I make it very clear what his thoughts are on this issue because men have a warped sense of what both means.

And sex is NOT the most important thing in a relationship.
Communication and connection is, then sex.

Yeah I just had to ask about the sex...I know it's not number one. And yeah communication, connection is number one and two.

Also sexual compatibility is important too..

But everyone is different. Again I was going to put loyal, faithful and fidelity together. But I did loyalty and fidelity already when I first started dxp..

And yeah I need both and I'm not insecure about it..I can do it. But just saying.. is it a question you should ask someone when meeting them. Which one is acceptable for you?
