I read it a long time ago. Was very young and hadn't been involved with anyone at the time.

And although I've never applied it to my relationships exactly, it gave valuable insight into the differences between men and women.

So I thought it used well chosen metaphors to describe these things in a context that made it easy to understand and I liked it.

Thought it was a good book yeh 🙂

Who amongst you have read the book and what are your thoughts?

I have skimmed through it briefly as I do plan to get stuck in. However some of what I read really makes so much sense to me. What are your feelings on this? Do you apply this to your relationships?

I read it. This book came out in like the late 80's or early 90's. Like all books of this genre it has some truth to it, men and women are not the same. I think the biggest gist of it was that women wanted/needed validation and men need/want to be helpful and useful. (I might be wrong).

Some are offended at the notion that there are differences between the sexes but I agree that there are differences, not to be hidden or minimalized but celebrated. If you get past the generalizations and realize them to be archetypes and not codified law then you will get a lot out of it. So I think it's good but shouldn't be taken as the bottom line.
