extra baggage takes too much time to sort out. I dont want to be stuck folding his socks for the rest of his life. 😛
"I think she meant... men with kids.... not emotional hangups"
Im not into kids that much at this stage either. LOL. I have no desire for kids at this stage of my life. I like animals though. Ill stick to the pet rat Im eventually going to get at some point.
Hi SIL,
This is so very well said, your insight really touches home. I have so many things to quote out of what you said, that I won't quote any (Otherwise I would have quoted everything lol). I believe it to be true. See so many of my relationship decisions are based on how I viewed my parents relationship and though I like them as separate individuals, I didn't like their relationship and made it clear in my mind, very early that I wouldn't be in such relationship. Anyway ... very well said!
I think seeing kids as baggage probably means you're not right for HIM.
li-scorp you created the topic soooo why hide it so some cant read? *shakes head*

Guess that speaks for itself!
I'd say not. Never stops me considering them, but I always regret it!
I think if you are happy to take on someone with baggage, it says something about what you feel you deserve. (Okay, speaking to myself there, but I think it's true).
I deserve someone who's there for me and who won't keep contaminating the relationship with baggage. Nothing wrong with baggage, mind you - it's how you deal with it. And 'With Baggage' implies someon ain't dealing with it very well...
