Tell me about your significant other's parents. When did you first meet them? Were you nervous? What are they like? How do they feel about you, and how do you feel about them?

This thread is all about your lover's parents.

I'll start: my BF's mom is an Aries. She's that Aries that resembles a ram. She has triangle eyes, long frizzy blondish brown hair. She is shortish and stalky with a raspy voice. She is an utter and absolute SWEETHEART with a great smile. My BF was excited about me meeting her our first week dating, and I finally met her the second week. She's warm and she has the biggest heart. She cooks, bakes, manages the family business, and makes the time to organize family nights where she prepares the dinner, and gift bags and baskets for holidays. She has two sons: my BF (the saggicorn) and his brother (the libra.) She is very much involved in their lives: she goes to their musical performances, buys tickets to shows (she recently got them tickets to see 'Hamilton' on Broadway; she was going to get herself and me a ticket as well, but she UNDERSTANDABLY couldn't score any. @___@.) She is generous with her money, and is always making sure my BF and I have eaten and have what we need (despite us both having jobs.)

She lent me her Nike sneakers when my converse got soaked in the rain, and when she went out and bought socks for the family, she remembered me and got me socks, too.

She gave me a big hug the first time I met her, and she has welcomed me into her home from day one. Meeting her has given me hope that, as a fellow Aries woman (one raised by a Virgo woman), I will one day make an awesome mother. She has raised the man I love, and I couldn't be more grateful for her.

She is humble, and when I got her a birthday present (her BD is three days after mine, April 17th), she was adorably surprised and shy about receiving it. She's excited to try new things, and she genuinely and completely loves her sons, encouraging them to be themselves and supporting their hobbies and passions. It's truly inspirational; her acceptance of who they are seems to have given them the confidence to be themselves fully, and as the girlfriend, I am blessed to have this amazing man who is both open and genuinely accepting and loving towards me.

I love my BF's mother very much.
