What do you do when someone betrays your trust?

Personally, what is your usual course of action and thought process when your trust is broken?

In general. Not necessarily of a familial, friendship, or relationship setting specifically, I think that is what you mean?

yeah in that case general trust is a never look back scenario. If at all possible I never see or speak to them again,
if contact is unavoidable I meet you as a mere acquaintance or perhaps even treat you like I am meeting you for the first time, every time.

To let it be known my trust was broken. Talk it out. Move on.

yet I don't know why the talk is either avoided or useless. I think those who break my trust don't give a fig about me. They just hope everything gonna be all right as it has been in the past. I'm a bad teacher.

Let them know while still being the bigger person. Maybe reserve more from the person.

Does it matter?
Trust is trust.

Understand why, (if bad enough, vent to some friends that will agree with me), think of some positives, and move on.
