i'm a mormon and really like it. i would encourage everyone to learn more about my religion cuz you'll probably really like it too. and also, if you think you know stuff already about my religion, just know that about 80% of what you've heard is wrong. people like to pass along wrong info on my religion for some reason. happens all the time. don't think we're weird or a cult or anything. we're really not. i promise.

You know, this means that you are just one letter short of "Moron" That's scary too, I wonder if that's how they got their name? lol

So, how about a woman having five husbands between the age of 18 - 20, can I do that?

Hell yeah, I'll join the Moron club, then, if I can. Five solid young men, he he he, I'm ready.

They dont call themselves Mormons, people call them that... they call themselves members of the church of jesus christ of Latter day siants....

I DONT think they are morons πŸ™‚... they are good people... their heart is where it should be... ur confusing them with the 'FLDS' that believe in Polygamy....

Mormon's and Muslim's it must be a M religion thing

Mormons are better than muclims πŸ™‚ WHY?? coz they dont practice polygamy nor does their religion teach men to beat their wives.... i was amazed to hear this one muslim guy say that in their Quran God told JOB to beat his wife... CRAP...

LOL this is what the muslims believe :

"The Qur'an states:
"Righteous women are therefore obedient, And those you fear may be rebellious (nushuz) admonish; banish them to their couches, and beat them."

Truly they are your helpmates, and you have no right over them beyond that - EXCEPT IF THEY COMMIT A MANIFEST INDECENCY ( adultery). If they do, then refuse to share their beds and beat them WITHOUT INDECENT VIOLENCE

NOW thats what i call SCARY

Eliza,

I was joking when I said that !!!!! lol

If I had to make a stand on a religious organization, it would be Buddist.

My mother was Roman Catholic and my father Hebrew . . . talk about confused, lol
So, you can see why I'm a fence-sitter.

My parents were cool about not confusing the kids . . . but, the relatives. Phew !!

They pounded us with their beliefs. Dangerous thing to do to a Pisces, who is naturally impressionable.

The only mormon I know in real life (that is to say, that I'm aware of), is a freak. Total and complete, utter looneybird and everything she does and preach about in her life, she pulls from her religous belief system. Now, perhaps, she's just strange all by herself and uses that as a crutch, or, maybe it's her religious influences - I don't know. But, what I do know, she's the wierdest person I ever met.

She wouldn't let her children (3 lovely little boys) eat more than one food at a time, saying it was against her religion to mix foods. So, all threee meals a day, each took a couple hours to complete.

She would fix bacon - they sat down and ate.
She would then fix potatoes - they would sit down and eat.
She would fix eggs, same

Sandwiches weren't allowed at lunch, because cheese, meat, bread . . . well, that's mixing foods.

The woman was frigging nuts and claimed it was her religion - MORMON, aka: Moron

Like I said, she's the only I've known. And she claimed it was her religious beliefs, so I had no choice, except to believe that mormons are freaks.

I'll trust you, since your mormon, if you say it was just her own weirdness.

I remember when we used to go camping together and by the time, she got her kids fed from breakfast, everyone else was on lunch, lol We would all scratch our heads in bewilderment, thinking, "Poor Kids". And, she would make them wash their feet obessively. Even when they weren't camping. One time I was over there and she made them all get up from in front of the TV every 10 or 15 minutes to go wash their feet again. I haven't seen her a long time. My husband I decided we didn't need to hang with her again - but, I've often wondered what ever happened to the children . . . like are they now freaks too? From being raised this way?

When they had more than one wife is it true that one of the leaders names was Bring them young?

Damn pedophile

I've thought about too, james. Not necessarily Mormons because my knowledge is limited with them, but, other religions strive to have very young wives. So young, in fact, that we would be astonished. So, pedophilia can be acceptable if it's a religious belief - that's pretty much what it means. Isn't that sickening?

I can not understand the attraction, I am 38 and I would consider myself a pedophile if I got hooked up with someone in there 20's. becides the sex there has to be somekind of mental conection. If its O.K. with there religion then cut there nuts off right after you cut the nuts off there religious leaders.

DON"T GET ME STARTED

the sick bastard leader who's telling them it's ok.

same here.... i cant stand such losers.....

the following is an excerpt from the 'so called' prophet Mohamed's ( muslim prophet) youngest 7 year old wife Aisha's book.... jeeez that man was SICK... how could you marry a girl whose 7 while your 51... and he slept with her when she was 10 and he was 54.... SICK loser....

The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) married me when I was seven or six...

I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah's Apostle used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet would call them to join and play with me. (The playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for 'Aisha at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.) (Fateh-al-Bari page 143, Vol.13)

jeeeeez that man was SICK.....

So . . . if a person's religion preaches that this is ok . . . then it is, in God's eyes, right?

I mean if you're a minister, or whatever kind of leader and have a connection with God, and are saved, then this kind of behaviour is acceptable. Afterall, it is said, all sins are forgivable.

This is something I've pondered for ages. If you are a person of God, and faithul in your worship, give praise everyday for the blessings he gave you, then you were like this here pedophile leader - still going to Heaven? Ah, yeah !! Because you believed.

Yet, if you weren't a person of God, were good in your life and never cheated or hurt anyone, (never put your filthy hands on a child) - going to Heaven !! Um, no.

When it comes right down to it, God isn't a very nice person, is he? He really doesn't care about mankind and how we treat others. Pretty much the only thing he cares about is that we love HIM, that we praise HIM, and give all the attention to HIM . . . he must be an Aries lol

this is why I don't believe, just look at all the crap that goes on in the name of an almighty. God was made up by man so they could control people. its that simple. all religion is , is a control base. get them to believe and they will do what we tell them. there is less viloint crime in countries that have a higher athist population than in countries that are controled by religion. fact.

Mind Control !!!!!

My opinion changes with each new moon, depending on new information obtained (such as: "there is less viloint crime in countries that have a higher athist population than in countries that are controled by religion. fact."), or viewing old information from a different perspective.

Currently, the side of the fence I'm sitting on is Alien control and james, your post adds to my thinking that this may be the case. I agree, religion is about being able to control, but, it doesn't seem feasible that all these religions are secretly linked together, to keep the control going. The different theological dimoninations are too much at opposition with each other to effectively establish a central foundation of organized control. As humans, we are too influenced by our emotions to be that steadfast in a theory that takes away from our consciousness of right and wrong.

Even with our most cold-hearted and insensitive organizations, like country administrations, terrorist groups and independent factions of power - there are leaks, there are traitors - yet, religion has held fast. That doesn't even make sense. If the strongest people in the whole world are vulnerable to treasonous penetrations, then how can Priests and Ministers be so bestowed with that kind of power over their instincts?

Furthermore, it makes sense that this higher power that is not of humankind would create and maintain not only the extremely different belief systems in religion, but, also, have them as adversaries - we, therefore would be blinded by the real villian who masquerades as "God".

Am I crazy? Perhaps, but, it makes more sense to me than a God who claims to love mankind, then treat them with disdain.

Heck NOOOOOOOO.... you cant blindly follow your leader and expect God to forgive you coz you trusted a manβ€”? Continuosly in the scriptures, God has warned us not to 'trust in the arm of flesh' and ' beware of those who come to us in sheep's clothing but infact are ravenous wolves'.... whats you brain and common sense forβ€”?

If my heart and mind tells me something is wrong then im NOT going to do it even if Jesus Christ himself comes and tells me to do it..( which i KNOW he never will coz hes a god of truth and he delights not in evil)

P-angel...

God is Loving, forgiving, Kind and compassionate BUT hes JUST... if you dont FORSAKE your sins you will NOT be forgiven......yes we all make mistakes and if we repent we will be forgiven but if i dont feel sorry for my sins and keep committing them then heck i will judged accordingly....

if your a sick pedophile and your sorry for all that you've done and you forsake your sin you can expect mercy but if you continue on being a pedophile dont expect mercy from God....

Christ loved little children and really cared about them and warned us to never hurt them or harm them....

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe unto the world because of offenses! for it must needs be that offenses come; but woe to that man by whom the offense cometh! (Matthew 18:6-7)

In that theory, Eliza, we all have a free pass to sin our asses off, so long as you repent later. You don't see hipocracy in that?

You said, "If my heart and mind tells me something is wrong then im NOT going to do it even if Jesus Christ himself comes and tells me to do it"

What if your heart and mind is wrong, when it's telling you it's wrong. What if it's really right, that's why Jesus comes to you himself. But, you don't listen to Christ, because you listened to your mind that told you it was wrong when it was right?

It's a set-up, your damned if you do, you're damned if you don't. It's a no-win situation, in my perspective.

Besides, I'm not even positive that God is real. I'm leaning towards him being a fictional character for the intentions of herding us in a specific direction, keeping us blind (blind faith). And, if God isn't real, then Jesus isn't either.

You said, "Heck NOOOOOOOO.... you cant blindly follow your leader and expect God to forgive you" Why not? What's the difference between God himself and one of the religious leaders . . . if God himself refuses to show himself and allows another (religious leader) to speak for him? ARe you saying that God's decision on a proxy is not good enough? He's God, how can you or anybody else make a decision beyond your power? If God says a Priest is good enough, then you're suppose to be a good little lamb, close your eyes and jump. That is "Blind Faith". God CHOSE this man and this man was saved from sin (while behind the podium he defiles an alter boy)

That's talking out of both sides of your mouth, Eliza - the forked tongue.

Trust, have faith, believe, don't question - if God chose this man, who are you to disobey?

Then, it's hell nooooooooooo . . . I don't have to listen if my mind tells me not to. Suddenly, that faith isn't present any longer. Who are YOU to decide. ARe you letting your mind question? What about Faith?

You don't see the hypocracy in that?
