Which do you think is the coolest (or coolest sounding) religion? (includes cults)

I personally like the idea of being a "Confuciast" because it sounds so much like "Confuseist"

I don't know why, but it makes me think of some tropical island...and puka shells 😛

It also makes me think of China, but that's not why I like it. Maybe it's because Baha'i sounds like Shang-Hai. That's China, right?

Second runner up would have to be Protestant, because I like anything that sounds like a protest against something is being made.

Why do they call people who stand out in the street wearing daschikis (sp?) and waving signs like, "Save The Yellow Feathered Penguins" "protestors" and not protestants?

Para, I think you have been watching too many Hollywood movies. There are no 'sayings' in Buddhism...lol. The 'substance' is found through the texts. The only place I have heard the one hand clapping thing is in an episode of the Simpsons (great show).

I follow the teachings of the great SHABOOM. Just last night at the pub after hours of quite and drinking he had a vision then he said (lead birds don't fly at night) we all thought how profound. Such intellectual depth and insight.

I'll stick with the BIRDS! Birds are very spiritual creatures......Way to go, SHABOOM 🙂

Good question....I feel that the difference here is "awareness." Infants are in a very natural state of being without having been "domesticated" so whatever they are doing, they are having fun. They do not know the difference. Adults on the other foot, have been "domesticated" and therefore may not be having as much fun in an affair because they have to many thoughts going through their head i.e. ~this isn't right, I've sinned, oh geeze...I'm a bad person but omg this feels great!, I love the excitement now I have to go home and face my significant other, I'm a lowlife, I'm no good, yada~yada~ and yada." I want to be an infant having an affair.

lol Espernaut, I haven't heard any one talk about Bob Dobbs in such a long time!!! I always liked his pipe.

I only had the first book, didn't know there'd be more.. (maybe there weren't any at the time) but I liked it. You can read and reread and find something new.

My sources of inspiration aren't limited to just Bob, as wicked as he can be. Calvin & Hobbes also gave me well thought out advice. I LOVE the Snow Goons, as they came from a twisted child's mind.

Even though I am not a Sikh...i think the coolest religion has got to be Sikhism...I have a lot of Sikh freindz...they are probably one of the bravest/strongest people worldwide...and the music that these people listen to is amazing! all religionz are gr8 and i respect them all ... but i really get frustrated wen people have this ' Holier than Thou' attitude' coz their religion is the best and the only TRUE one.. COME ON..... i mean live and let live...
