There's a guy at work who has been giving me the eye for the last month. We talk now, but when I first started he would purposely be in eyeline with me as he would work. One time he was at one the end of the corridor (supposed to be) fixing something and me the other end, making tea in the staffroom and each time I looked up there he was, staring. He's well received at work; it's female-dominated and many of the ladies fancy him (and flirt). He's creating ways of getting to talk to me and seems sincere and together, but as I've just started this job, NEED this job I don't wanna risk it for a chocolate biscuit but I can't deny that I like him.
Have you experienced a relationship from work? What is/was it like? Any success stories?
Why yes in fact. It was a good one. We mainly hung out during breaks and after work. But we ended it due to her moving to Vermont. Relationships like those are good as long as you don't get your head to stuffed up in the clouds and let his love distract you from your job. But hope it goes well 🙂
Stay away. It's not worth the hassle. If things go downhill, then that bs gets dragged into work.
Don't bother.
I used to approach women at work, but I never was successful. All were taken.
I'm currently working in my field of study and plan to build up my rep, so no more dating at work for me.
i dont eat where i shit. I'd pass.

How was it work wise? Did colleagues know of your relationship?

Yeah. My boss knew of it too. He didn't mind as long as our relationship didn't get in the way of work, he trusted me well enough to know I would do the right thing. The only person that didn't know of it was one of my co-workers who didn't know till we split. And somebody said "they don't eat where they shit". Why would anyone do that there in the first place? Public restrooms are disgusting.
