Well, I love you DMV ... much more than I would any animal, even though I've never met you. In fact if I were presented with cute cuddly little puppy, and I were told that it had a bomb inside it, and I were given a remote control with a button on it, and I were told that if I press the button that it would blow the poor cute little puppy to bits, but if I didn't press the button, a bomb would go off inside you:

Ha, I'd blow that puppy to smithereens without a hesitation!

Poor puppy, but humans come first in my book, no matter what. Now that said, certainly I don't believe it's ok to harm animals for no reason, but I also don't think that bird was killed just for the photo op ... more likely the poor thing just flew into the glass and fell.

Anyways ... borderline humor, sorry if I offended, maybe that's more of a guy humor thing anyway

it is symbolic in that the only sex I've gotten lately has been from a dead relationship ... maybe that's why I thought it was funny.
