When my mom and dad were dating, my dad would call her to say goodnight and play this song in the background.

Mom : "So you did you call me exactly"
Dad: (staying silent) "I just called to say...I love you.."

Yeah, my mom thought he was corny as fuck. She married him though so he must've done something right.

After my mom moved out of AK I would call her all the time and sing that line 🙂
