The trigger to the company's market woes was last Friday's revelation from the EPA that VW rigged nearly half a million cars to defeat U.S. smog tests, exposing the carmaker to potential fines of $ 37,500 per vehicle, and anyone found personally responsible to $ 3,750 per violation.

After blaming unrelated issues for more than a year, the company finally told U.S. regulators that it installed software that switches engines to a cleaner mode during official emissions testing. The software then switches off again on the road, enabling cars to drive more powerfully while emitting as much as 40 times the legal pollution limit.

Sag mantra
Actually, that was the first manned space rover that landed in the arctic circle and sank beneath the quicksnow.
A unknown witness came to visit the site of the astronaut's disappearance but never reported it. And understandably so.
Naturally, it's not every day that an astronaut lands in the arctic and goes missing and if you witnessed the disappearance
of the astronaut, would you tell anyone? Of course not. Because your butt is on the line.

What? You never heard of quicksnow? It's like quicksand. Only a bit colder.

When I was a kid my little Gem friend across the street had a pet skunk, it was so fat! 😄

They would carry it around like a baby, it would curl up and hold its back feet with its front feet/hands

Cutest thing ever 🙂
Did your little Gem friend stink? Just curious... you know.. .them Geminis and skunks are, well, you know....

They were a regular size family Mr.Bird. Mom and Dad, a boy and two girls.

In fact, I don't recall any families in our Ward having an excessive amount of members. But I was a member for a couple of years only and my parents weren't so ehh
Fascinating. Interesting how they have Wards and Branches and Stakes. Obviously, that form of organization has been doable for them and not unlike a typical government
structure. Coincidentally, the stakes have to do with the "tent". I am reminded of St Paul who was a tentmaker. Now... Paul, formerly Saul, was zealous, and of the tribe (descendants)
of Benjamin, the youngest of the 12 sons of Jacob, whom God renamed Israel. Jacob's Grandfather, Abraham once lived in the city of Ur and God called him out of that city
and travel to a place that He would show him. Now, the descendants of Jacob would become the Hebrew slaves in Egypt by the time of Moses. And God called Moses to
to lead His people out of Egyptian bondage. They wandered in the desert for 40 years. Later, Jesus had fasted and was tempted by the devil, in the wilderness, for 40 days.
It rained for 40 days and 40 nights but if we go back much further in time, the time of the flood, it rained 40 days and 40 nights. Appears to me as though there is a connection
between those events. Coincidence? or Prophecy? Likewise, also, the business about the 12 tribes of Israel and the 12 disciples, 12 months in a year, 12 hours for day and 12 for night, and just as there are 24 hours in a day, there are 24 elders that are mentioned that bow down and worship Jesus Christ in Heaven, (refer to Revelation). These 24 elders,
it seems, are the 12 sons of Jacob and the 12 patriarchs of the 12 tribes of Israel. The other twelve of those 24, it would seem, are the 12 disciples who followed Jesus.
When one studies the carefully structured system of the temple, one comes to take note of the Tabernacle which is really a word for booths or tents which those of the exodus
lived in for 40 years. Note: a tent is used by those who are on the move, not for a permanent residence. They may be poor, they may be rich, regardless, they are on the move
on a journey. It should be pointed out that tent dwelling isn't the most pleasant experience for one to experience, it is a time of hardship, no doubt, a time for deep soul searching
and the contemplation of spiritual matters as they relate to God, wherein one discovers that life here on earth is nothing more than a journey and will be filled with hardships and
tribulations, in which the soul's faith and obedience is tested, sometimes, severely. I suppose that's what's going on that often causes people to ask "Why would God allow so
much sorrow and suffering?"

Cont.

To them, I would offer this thought: Faith is not tried in times of comfort, rather in unrelenting times of great unrest and uncertainty, enduring physical,
emotional and spiritual pain. This pain may be likened to the pain a woman experiences as she gives birth to a child, after which, that specific pain subsides and she
forgets that pain (though, childrearing and all that goes with it, may be a pain of another kind that continues throughout life may unfold). All these things, I think, are
to convey to us to help us realize that the Creator is NOT too unlike ourselves, has feelings and emotions, too and has been hurt by His creation. When our children
disobey us, we are disappointed, when we disobey God, we disappoint Him. Since nobody's perfect in God's eyes, Jesus, who was/is perfect had to die, in our place.
Quite fascinating the more I contemplate the subject.

When I used to drive trucks, cross-country, I've driven by the Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City. Ever been there?

PS,
No, I am not Mormon. Yes, I have stayed at the Holiday Inn.
