Hey all,

Been a while since I've been on these boards! Need your opinion on a guy I've recently been talking to. I honestly think I've met my soulmate. I'm pretty perplexed about whether or not he's romantically interested in me or sees me more as a platonic business relationship. We don't work together but both work in the entertainment industry and share similar aspirations.

Here's the low down:

We went to the same university back home but never met until I moved out to LA where he is now attending grad school. He is very driven, hard-working, and serious, which immediately attracted me to him. Recently we've been meeting up to discuss a feature film idea I have that he really likes, and it kind of seems like he tries to turn our meetings into dates. Here are reasons that make me think he's interested:

1. He calls or texts me almost everyday, usually seems like an excuse just to talk to me. Like he called me to confirm our meeting the next day when he could easily just text.
2. He picks locations that aren't very business-y. We went to dinner and he picked this restaurant that was very intimate, all the tables were small booths that you basically had to sit next to each-other in.
3. Sometimes it feels like I'm playing house with him. Last night he came over for another meeting (which he of course called to confirm) and I mentioned I had pizza so he said "I can bring wine and it'll be like an italian thing". I put pizza in the oven and set the table while he followed me around and talked to me... I felt like we were acting like a married couple. He asked me if I cook a lot which I thought seemed like something a guy would want to know about a girl he likes.
4. He is always early. He would always call me at 5:30 meaning as soon as he got off work. Once I told him I don't get off until 6, he'd call me at like 5:57. It always seems like he tries to wait for the hour but caves in and calls.
5. He indirectly admitted to stalking my fb profile... he brought me 3 scripts from his work last night and said "I know you already have 4 to read". My roommate had just posted a status quoting me saying that so he clearly saw it. He also commented that I changed my FB profile picture to Rapunzel from Tangled because I look like her haha.
6. We never have a pause in conversation when we talk. That "business" meeting at the restaurant we had, we talked about my script for maybe 20 minutes and the rest was 3 hours of us talking about politics, exes, relig

religion, etc. Everything you're not supposed to talk about haha

And now for the reasons that make me wonder what his intentions are:

1. He asked my pretty female roommate out to talk, since she's an actress and he might want to use her on some projects.. they also studied the same major at my school but never met. She claims I was mentioned in every topic, but I was still worried he's into her. He told her things he hasn't told me, like that he has mild OCD and doesn't take medication for it anymore, and that he had his gallbladder removed last year.

2. He told me that he'd date actresses but not fellow producer/directors because he wouldn't want to burn a bridge professionally. I flat out said well I think less of you because frankly I disdain actresses haha... I told him I wouldn't marry Leonardo DiCaprio if I had the chance. I'm wondering if he was testing me? I thought he was letting me know he wasn't into me but everything after that convo has been ramped up.
3. He literally RUNS away from me everytime we part ways. Like he'll start walking away after our nice dinner without letting me hug him.. he never really pauses for a proper goodbye, it's really weird. My roommate says when they parted ways at coffee she hugged him. My friends said at the party I had on Saturday I hugged his friend and he stood their awkwardly contemplating what to do but ran away like usual.

So when scorpio men are interested in a girl, will they do stuff like this? My gut tells me he's interested, but there are so many things he does that act like he's pushing me away. Is he worried I'll reject him? Or what? I'M SO CONFUSED.

Yeah, to give you a little context, I had stupidly mentioned I had recently stopped talking to a billionaire because he wanted too much from me (aka I wouldn't sleep with him) boy did his ears prick up to that... and he mentioned the billionaire to my roommate when he met with her. I didn't know he was a scorp at the time and the billionaire was relevant to the conversation but now I feel like it was bad because you're not supposed to try to make scorpios jealous! It just slipped out.

@Aguardiente ughhh yes but the risk is... my pride haha, I'm a Leo Venus so I have a big ego and I'm terrified of being rejected. I think his Venus is in Sagittarius, don't they like women that are hard to get? I've always been burned by showing my cards too early, and I really, really like this one, so I need to basically restrain myself from being to forthright. I don't want to scare him away by acting too interested, which ALWAYS seems to happen.

Try discussing 'relationships' as a topic generally in the midst of your conversations.

Get him to talk about his past and what he wants in future.Let the conversation flow casually, don't be pushy and let him share as much as he wants to on his own.

Watch him carefully while he talks.Even though he might not reveal much, his body language will be a give away about his feelings on a particular relationship related topic.

OHHHH one thing that I forgot to mention. He recently broke up with someone who he was in a long distance relationship with... tell me what you think of this:

A few weeks ago we had drinks with an actor friend of his. We went to the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills which is like the sweetest atmosphere ever. I wore a killer red dress to make him see me as not just a businesswoman but a sexual female. His friend stood up like a guy from the 50's and my scorp stayed sitting and was like "oh I guess I'm not as much of a gentleman" because it was a little strange for a guy to stand like that haha. The actor made comments all night about how beautiful I looked (which secretly made me feel great that some other guy was complimenting me in front of him).

Mind you, I knew he was in a relationship, but never planned to do anything about it. He never ONCE mentioned her to me before this, and there are zero pictures of them together on facebook. His fb said "In a relationship" but didn't say who with (although through some digging I found out who) anyways here's the key thing:

The next morning, his FB no longer said "in a relationship".

I looked at the girl's page and it still said in a relationship but I figured she hadn't changed it yet. 2 weeks go by and her page still says it.. my roommate looked him up and SHE COULD SEE that he was in a relationship, but I couldn't. So then I was thinking wow this guy must be a player but he never tried anything with me. Finally a few weeks ago they have officially broken up, and at dinner he mentioned to me that he had recently ended things with a girl in Kentucky because he "didn't have 2 years to wait around" for her. I just found it interesting that he hid it the night after we had dinner for the first time...

If he wants to tell you something negative about himself, but can't bring himself to say it to your face, telling your friend so it filters to you could have been on purpose this way.

He talked to your friend about you. This would filter to you. Anybody with any know-how of the human psyche knows that telling someone's friend something about the someone would filter back to that someone. Even if subconsciously, he wanted your friend to tell you he was talking about you. That he has you on his mind. I read something once about where your mind wanders, is where you'll find your heart. Never truer for Scorp. When I want someone or something, it NEVER leaves my poor boggled over-analyzing Virgo-OCD mind ALONE. Good sign for you.

Cheers to you for not bedding the billionaire! And actually any time you tell him he had competition and you turned it down, this does NOT equate jealousy; this equates trust.

Since you like him, keep up the good work. ^_^

wow lots of people to respond to haha

@draumstafir that's a good point. but I was also worried that she might have mentioned that because she knew I felt insecure about it that he might be into her? us virgos overanalyze everything haha so true

@irresistiblescorp you act like that's something I should totally know haha... how can I let him know this bit of info without making it awkward in a convo? should I have a friend casually mention it so it doesn't come directly from me?

@aguardiente, I think his moon is in sag as well. I've always been a pursuer almost masochistically going after men that I found a challenge, only to never win them over and remain in a cycle of unrequited love...hence now I've come to think that me chasing a man=him rejecting me. I won't necessarily play "hard to get" but I'm definitely going to keep on a poker face so as not to be too obvious like I used to be.

@irresistableScorp thanks for the advice! In all complete honesty.. I'm a little embarrassed about it but I'm actually still a virgin (I'm almost 25 lol) so no need for him to worry about me sleeping around haha. Would it be a turn on or turn off for him to know that??

First off, it is nothing to be embarrassed about. It is a matter of personal choice.

A scorpio man or woman likes a person who stands up for what he/she believes in and is going to stand his/her ground no matter what. You believe in selectively choosing your partner.Stand by it.Don't let 'whether the scorpio will be turned on/off' by this bother you.

What a scorpio wants is a person who is true to himself/herself and does not change/pretend to try and 'please' us.So be yourself.

Hm idk...from my experiences scorps don't run away when they really like someone.

I for sure blew mine off in the beginning when we started talking and he kept insisting so finally I gave him a chance. Since then we have been doing non stop communication. Good byes are hard and tender.

Is phone taking a Scorp thing? He can talk to his friends (female AND male) for hours and that's not like me at all.

He COULD like you but is trying to run away from saying a proper good bye because he doesn't want to get involved with a work producer but he's afraid he won't be able to control himself when an intimate farewell occurs and there is hugging/contact? Just a thought.

aww well thank you! I do feel pretty inexperienced with this stuff, I didn't have my first kiss until I was 19! All my friends are in serious relationships or sleep around pretty often (we do live in LA afterall) but I feel like I've waited so long, for someone to come along that I could actually fall in love with first, I don't just want to give it up so easily. The problem is, I'm worried that if I'm a virgin no guy will stick around long enough to wait for me to get to the place where I'd be comfortable going that next step! Does that make sense? haha

Well I waited until I was 18 for sex and am def not a Virgin at 24 but I have a respectable number. I know for a fact my Scorpio male hate-hate-haaated sluts and admitted in the past to test girls self control and drop them if they gave it up too soon. Left nothing to chase and made him think there were many other guys she gave in so soon too

He respected my self control and liked that I made him wait quite a few dates. No sex until he had ALREADY asked ms to be his gf too.

Look; scorps and males in general don't like sluts. If you make them wait, one base at a time, they respect you a lot more. I wouldn't be shocked if the Scorp found you being a virgin a HUGE turn on!
