I rarely think about money quite frankly. Money is only an issue when I'm short on it and that was mostly in my younger days, which was due to being an emotional spender and having a low income. I came to understand that I just have to make a lot of money and I'll be fine. As I'll never be a good budget planner. I can only do the very basic of planning.

I think about it every day. Every time I watch TV, I am really just watching someone else make money while I could be at work making profit myself. Every time I am doing something other than working, I remind myself sometimes that I'm either putting my money into someone ele's pocket (instead of it being the other way around) or I am reducing the possibility of my own profit. If laws would allow citizens to work 24 hours a day, I'm 100% sure I would still stick to my 8-12 hour shift range, but hey, it would be nice if I could go to work for 8 hours, come home & still be making money just like those on the Tv I'm watching, or the radio I'm listening to, or the grocery store I'm buying food from or the clothing designers I'm buying clothes from

But hey....It's called LIFE

I am not fascinated by the notion of earning huge profits and having alot of sum in my pocket. Nor I do intend to get rich quick,
But rather, i wish to seek the forces in our society that generates money,

Because my cap uncle (a prominent lawyer) still haven't made any money despite working his ass off. No cap bashing intended.

My uncle had a high salary, but he loses all his money to the economy as soon as he earns it. this makes him work even harder, hence the endless cycle.

It is great if some of you do not care about it, but some of the response i get are just people wanting to close their eyes and not deal with this issue at all. This is not a good way to cope with any problem.

If you think there is nothing to do with it other than spending your whole working, you are dead wrong. Everyone has the power to act.

I think that is what you were trying to say from the beginning right? Our government is throwing our money away, we can never overcome it, no matter how hard we work, if things continue this way...

well, they allow us to put away pittance to pension, take the rest, in your old age live on that...your kids carry on the cycle...I'm tempted not to have kids to stick it to them....I obviously need any excuse not to have kids 😛

I have always been comfortable so have no idea what it's like not to have any. Touchwood..as long as my limbs are intact I will work..Hard work, tenacious/determined attitude can get you pretty much anything in life..sitting on your fat arse (not talking about you here RA) at home worrying about it, is not..quite simply.

Well, I don't mind being poor. As long as i have the freedom to do whatever i want to do.
Obviously, that is not the case in this world, since everyone has money problems.

The assumption i want to challenge is you don't get rich by workinf hard. your boss might apppreciate it if you work hard for him, but these days even people who work hard all their lives get fired in the financial crisis.

Actually, i am more like a sag in this aspect, i hate being tied down. But perhaps my cap aspect says that nothing is free, and i have to undergo much pain to get to wherever io want to go.


MM, people who sit their fat arse and watch the market goes up and down, making and losing millions in the process. Of course i do not put much faith in the stock market to make a profit. I am more curious about the mechanism of the economy.

Red, I propose we combine our talents and go into business together.

You can't be free when you are poor. And I generally find that ppl who take the above POV have never been poor.

the work-money exchange simply makes no sense in this world

working longer and harder simply does not mean we can make more money, becuase how much dollars goes into our pocket depends on the market.

If you are interested starting your own business ,notso, learn about supply and demand.

It is not our biological instinct to make and want money. I do not know how people develop this kind of fetish as we grow up.
