Those photos of Pripyat, Ukraine look familiar. Then I remembered a level on Call of Duty Modern Warfare and it all made sense.
My brother said the same thing when I showed him.

I love the images of "The Unknowns" but the "haunting images" aren't that haunting to me... they just look like abandoned places, amusement parks.
Interesting, they both lingered in my mind long after I saw them, the abandoned places even more so. Just reminded me of the limited control we have over our futures. As much as we like to think we've got it all under control, we don't. When I see the pics of the ghost towns, I see life. I imagine people going about their lives as usual, children playing, and just like that- they're uprooted. Ten residents still live in Centralia. They refuse to leave and are clinging fiercely to their land. I suppose they have nowhere to go. Maybe it's all they know. Can you imagine that?

Yeah they look like peaceful places.
Sweet baby Jesus! I'm no expert, but that's a *whole lotta* Capricorn for one chart! I just took a sneak peek. Bless your heart.

when I see those images it reminds me that all things are temporary no matter how hard we convince ourselves they are not.all the petty bullshit we force ourselves to deal with everyday means absolutely nothing because one day, wherever we stand...will look exactly like that.
any time I'm stressing about something I remind myself it will not matter 50 years from now.
Yes, totally...

Haunting Photos
Planning to visit Centralia, PA. My mother called me an idiot for wanting to do so. Who's tagging along? Raise your hands- high so I can see them.
Also, what comes to mind when you view these? Share if you can.
