Having Sex Vs. Making Love...

I have done both and if you are just "having sex" there is no real intimacy. I mean not like you would want it to be with a partner. Making Love is beautiful you have such an intimate closeness. Kissing, cuddling, candles...*sighs* beautiful. But you know what, sometimes good ole fashion fukking can do it to. The animal may come out when you least expect it. But over the two. Making Love-Hands Down.

Sometimes I think as girls we've had the whole fairy tale/ harlequin romance novel thing so embedded in us that we want something that doesn't really exist. I'm 35...I've had sex that physically sent me places I'd never been before...but it wasn't "making love"..for some reason that has spiritual tones to me- and I've never found it. I'd like to- but I'm not sure it's real. I've tried to put my mind in that state of being during sex- but it doesn't reach what I'm looking for- perhaps because of my partner...I dunno. Maybe there's *supposed* to be a separation between physical "intimacy" and emotional "intimacy"?
