My Scorpio ex and I are still very good friends and I actually met up with him this weekend and he was telling me about his relationship/dating mishaps and I remember a few of the girls he has dated since me and they all seemed like nice girls with their shit together so I asked him what the issue was and he said about one of them that she had no backbone...everything he said, went - and apparently he hated that.
He likes a woman who can have an opinion, be strong-minded but not combative. I was a little TOO strong headed for him, and he was constantly trying to tame me, so I would say she'd have to be somewhere in the middle of the road on that.
The other girl he dated, he said (and this may just be his own immaturity) that she was just too into him. Also mentioned that she was a bit high maintenance and expected him to pay for everything.
My best male friend is also a Scorpio (I don't quite understand how I have such successful friendships with Scorpio men, but whatever) and he is VERY similar to my ex. Wouldn't like a girl that lays out like a rug, but also wouldn't want someone too feisty.
You should find out what his Venus/Mars are though - that can be a little more telling of what he finds attractive and how he will approach if he is.
