p-angel, you know i was just thinking about making a post requesting your presence in one of my threads...you know you're not legit unless p-angel stamps your post with her angelic ray of sunshine. 😄
i just got finished with learning all the ropes and memorizing all the drinks (so many!!! i still don't even know them all.)
there's no bartending experience under my belt, this job will be (pretty much) a learning experience for me...it's a rather low key bar, which is great because it gives me time to hone my skills and develop a style . it'll give me the training i need to accumulate enough confidence to go some place really busy and demanding (with more tips!!!) so it's all good in with me 🙂
i'd never go into something unprepared, i became a hermit for the past two weeks to gain enough knowledge to land this job.
I would think that most people order the more common drinks and not so much the obscure ones, so, as long as you have the popular ones down pat, the other ones you could look up. Will they have a recipe book handy for quick reference?
Your refuge with your cocktail guide must have really paid off, along with your determination if you gained enough knowledge to get the job in just two weeks of cramming .... you did great !!!
Tip from a Martini drinker here ...... SHAKE vigoriously, do not stir 😉
You have the personality for it, you're very approachable and friendly. Gawd, if you could only imagine what secrets I've revealed to my bar-maid .. she knows more about me than my own mother did. The stories you'll be told will be endless entertainment. 🙂
heck yes p, i basically did NOT have a life for two weeks...i desperately need money and decided bartending would be the most efficient way to make money and have a good time while i'm at it.
and not to worry on the martini front love, you know how vigorously i shake it 😉
i was considering bartending for some time while in school. ppl were telling me that you had to go to school and whatnot first. easy, fun, and fast money. good luck.
Just watch Cocktail w/ Tom Cruise alot..that way you can get some good moves down
hate to tell you this but a bartender is not just a bartender he is also:
An entertainer Counselor of sorts Cupid (love middle man) Security guard
People come to the bar because: they're lonely, looking for love, trying to find a hook up, in a fighting mood, or to vent, so you will end up being all things to these people. I bartended once back in college great dinero.
cock sucking cowboy ha that must be for the 'other team' variety. Last nights crown and coke are swimming around in my stomach. Funny list Roxi Im getting queasy though.
haha thanks guys, i'm gonna mess some shit up and make lots of tips and spend them all on the gem, LOL...now that i'm slowly wheeling it in with my sex skillzzz.
i'll post the bar info when i feel comfortable in my new bartending shoes 😉
especially the ladies, here - you know i make a mean sex on the beach. 😉
