What does he get to eat when you go out? There's a clue right there and then just put a signature spin on it....something on the side though, just to be safe!
He'll get fancy sandwiches or tacos if we go to an ethnic restaurant...I want to make something that's directed more towards a dinner meal, something a little fancier. I want to impress!!

I guess if whatever i make backfies, I can buy some frozen lasagna and I can throw that in the oven and pretend i made it myself . :/ I have a week to get it together.

Sooo...he's not vegan or gluten free?

There is a recipe called "engagement chicken" there's a whole story about it...every woman who makes this chicken for a man gets a proposal apparently. It was in Glamour magazine when there was that magazine. Lettme see if I can find it...
No, he's not picky I don't think.

Yes, yes please try to find it. I want to put a voodoo spell on him.

If you're not great in the kitchen, this is an easy one. Pan seared 2" ribeye steak, mashed potatoes and some vegetables.

Use butter amd olive oil to sear the steak (high heat, you need decent ventilation). Season with Kosher salt , a little garlic, and pepper before searing.

After searing (3-5 minutes each side), put the pan in a 500° oven for 8-10 minutes for mid-rare. Let sit for 5-10 minutes.

I'm assuming you know how to make mash, but I ise loades of butter and some heavy cream, and a bit of Kosher salt while mashing. You can add cheese, or garlic and bacon too.

I have an awesome and easy green bean/bacon/balsamic side that you could do.

The house will smell like a restaurant, and the steaks are better than some you have to pay big dollars for out.

Thanks sultry!

So what's with the green bean balsamic side? Sounds good.

If you wait until he gets there and cook with just an apron on.. I'm sure it won't matter what you make.
😆 ....he did bring up that I'd look hot with an apron on while cooking..he didn't elaborate much further than that, but I knew what was going through his dirty little mind.

Do you have any suggestions?

Do yiu think the wine tasting would be too much with a scorp man?

I usually get the steamable package of whole green beans and steam for 4.5-5 minutes in the microwave.

Make your bacon super crispy (I use 4 slices per package). When the bacon is done, put the geen beans in the pan of bacon fat (drain all but about 2-3 tbsp of fat) with 2 tbs of balsamic vinegar amd saute on medium heat until the balsamic has cooked off. Remove fom the heat and toss on the crumbled bacon. Easy and tastes very complicated.

Throw together some shiz in a crock pot if you have one. You won't burn or scorch anything that way and you can season it to the taste as it's cooking. No pressure and nothing to it.

If you don't have that kind of time...make something like a chicken salad sandwiches a salad with strawberries and whip cream on the side. If those berries and whip don't get him...I don't know what to tell you. Lol

Personally, I'd keep it so very simple.

If I were cooking I'd chose to make a chilli (spice level depending on taste) a few days before and then freeze it. You've done all the hard work and then you can just get it out to defrost the night before. On the day, grate some cheese, get some sour cream etc then spend the rest of the time chilling out and prepping yourself.

This might sound silly but the last thing you want to do is work yourself up and get stressed out on the day and then be unable to enjoy each other's company.

I've tried pulling the stops out and going all out and I'm so focused on perfection that I miss the point of the date. Equally, I've prepared as much beforehand so I can enjoy more. Perhaps further down the line in your relationship you can be more daring.

As the other guy said, naked in an apron would be impressive enough!

yeah it's a bit costly to make though. the lobster cost like $ 80 each if you buy them alive and i live near water and food is cheap here! also i stole it from @laynakins and made it my engagement lobster.

I asked him is there anything specific that you like, he said anything you make will be fine i'm sure.

:/ ...thanks for nothing!

I'm no Betty Crocker, but I can throw something good together.

Every time we go out to lunch, he pays for it, so I want to do something nice for him.

I've also planned a little wine tasting for us too.

What should I make?

I want to make a good impression on my wifey skills, then maybe he'll put out... 😛
Crockpot.

Fresh fruit for dessert.

It won't.

If you add a lot of potato to the pot, it might.

Also have some Pinot noir.

Shoes and(/or?) you have worn before and that are reasonably comfortable...so that you can relax and concentrate on getting him to put out.🙂

B/C cup, depending on the bra. I'm quite proud of them but don't show them off as much as I probably should.

I definitely am. But my father and best friend prefer the behind - both Scorps.

I say leave a little to the imagination. But not too much.

I have a behind too, so maybe a tight dress, thats not too revealing might be nice, with pumps and ...an apron.

the engagement dishes are so cute lol

i love spicy lobster but i think you should go safe and mild especially if he has some virgo influences. sensitive stomach. you wouldn't want to spend the rest of the evening outside of the bathroom asking whether he is okay (been there done that lol)

and yeah like vixen said too much pressure and expectation for him to be a certain way. wouldn't it make you happy to just see him smile and have a romantic sweet evening together?

No expectations really, we know eachother well in a lot of ways and comfortable together. I know by our chemistry that it will be something special. We've just been holding it in way too long.

I call him my Christian Grey because he resembles him. 🙂

If you decide to go with the lobster, just make sure he isn't allergic to shellfish first. I know that is probably a dumb suggestion because you I'm sure you would ask ahead of time, but just in case you forget. The guy I'm dating is allergic to shellfish, and it's a good thing he told me that in the beginning. Just a tip, 🙂
