Scorpios.. help a Cancer out. <3

So I'm a cancer girl and am practically in love with my best friend, who happens to be a Scorpio. One day I met him and the same night he randomly asked if I'd be a friend that he could trust and talk to about anything. I think he liked me back then, but I was in a relationship and didn't really realize it. Now I'm out of that relationship and I realize that I really do like him. I like the way he makes me feel, loved, and cared for. The last time I heard from him was on Tuesday, he called to wish me happy birthday and seemed extremely excited to talk to me. He said that he'd call me the next night so we could talk more.. but he didn't call. I'm supposed to be his "best friend" but he doesn't really let me see it.
I miss him so much it hurts.
I don't really know how to get his attention. 😱

Aww. I'm pretty sure you hit the nail on the head. Back when I first met him i think he pretty much knew I wasn't interested.. or couldn't be.. cause I was in a relationship, and we'd talk on the phone all the time. For hours. I mean he's had the same girlfriend since longer than he's known me and yet sometimes when he's around and talks to me he tells me that he doesn't want to be with her.. and says that I'm the only person he feels like he can talk to because I'm his "best friend".

It's weird sometimes, because I feel like I'm losing him when I can't talk to him forever. I even feel like he's "the one" or whatever. I'm not sure. I just feel different with him than any other guy I've had any kind of relationship with.

I email him, telling him that I wish I could talk to and see him more often, and he emails me back saying something like "I have work. it sucks."

Agh. I just really don't know what to do.
