Persephone was the Goddess of spring... Demeter, her mother, the Goddess of Grain.... Hades the god of the underworld.. How the heck people think Persephone is Virgo is beyond me. Virgo was Demeter, the Goddess of Grain. As a lot of those myths do, this one revolves around agriculture. Hades (Scorpio - lord of the underworld), kidnaps Persephone (Taurus) and takes her to the underworld... Scorpio, being Taurus' opposite sign, is no longer visible in the night sky when Scorpio is visible - when scorpio is visible, taurus is in the Southern Hemisphere. It appears that taurus was kidnapped and sent to the underworld. Not that Persephone being the GODDESS OF SPRING and taurus falling exactly 180* from Scorpio, and occuring in spring wasn't a good enough hint.And I've already discussed the fact that Virgo... since the BEGINNING OF ASTROLOGY.... has been acknowledged as being related to GRAIN. When does Taurus occur? In the Spring. What has Virgo always been associated with? Grain. When does the constellation Taurus become unseen in the northern Sky? During Scorpio Aka Hades Season. Venus, the ruler of Taurus is also in Detriment in Scorpio and Exalted in Pisces. According to the myth Persephone was required to stay in the underworld for 4 months, 1 for every pomegranate seed she ate. Scorpio (Detriment), Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius....... Pisces... there are 4 months between detriment and exaltation for Venus. The math itself doesn't add up for Virgo.
So, Spring grows Crops (Taurus), Harvested by Demeter - Goddess of Grain (Virgo), Grain is weighed and measured (Libra), then stored underground/underworld with Hades (Scorpio) until...... YOU GUESSED IT! SPRING! When Persophone is allowed to leave the underworld and come top side. Then planting season starts all over.

Scorp & Virgo is one the best matches. I am Virgo myself dating Scorp guy, I would only get boring or detached whenever Scorp does not communicate.
