Will Scorpio ever get over his ex?

We dated casualy for two months. He was nice to me and i liked him very much. I told him that and said that I can't be in a casual relationship with him, because i like him too much and don't want to get hurt. The thing is i know he liked me and he told me that, but he broke up his 10y relatioship 7 months ago. They had problems in the last 2 years of their relationship, but final end was 7 months ago on his initiative. He told me that there were many small things that bothered him and he couldn't live like that anymore, and they are friends now. He says he can't promise to commit right now till he is clear with himself about some things, and he wants to do many things he neglected while he was in that relationship. He also can't find enough time to be in another relationship neither he want to rush with that. He also has some pl дoans to go abroad to live and work. I said that i understand and that is better not to see each other again, because i want more from him.

He said that he didn't know how much time would he need, but he guess not too much. And when that happens new relationship would be just fine and great.I said i am not someone who waits for anyone, i will just live my life, and we didn't talk that we will connect again in future. He understood me perfectly. I saw he was sad when he went, and ask would we see each other maybe once or twice more to be easier, i said no, it's easier this way. I wonder if he would reach for me in the future if he really likes me? Should i reach for him in some moment to see can we try again? Or ask him now what he thinks about that. I also can't figure out if he really got over his ex and could he ever let it go completely? I like him veru much...

Stick to the boundaries you set.

Or, accept the small crumbs he’s willing to give you.

Anyway i will let him heal and live my life

If he comes back great, if not, well...i hope he will be happy anyway, he is a good man.
