Hmm, maybe this is what i meant, but i could have sworn the match commentator on TV said like i wrote. So, i went to check match review and didn't find anything like what i wrote. He was probably wrong lol, they're all excited and sometimes manage to bungle up info.

Yesterday's Serbia and today's Sweden match. We're all laymen but almost everyone will say those were penalties.
In both cases a favourite to win team advanced and in both cases European referees were on the field. Maybe others don't take directions from above that well....
