Allegedly Zidane quitting Real is connected to Florentino Perez wanting to bring Hazard there, but Zidane was against it.

In any case, i root for Juventus now. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Yay! Are you a Juve fan now πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

hahahaha, i guess. When i was a kid my fave footballer was Roberto Baggio (until he missed the penalty in the WC finals) πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ He played for Juventus too. I like Danone yoghurts too πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ (one of their sponsors years back)

Plus honestly they were the only team that came at least close to knocking out Real in the CL this year , so.....

Hahah I know, I’ve never replayed it but the telltale signs of being a Crabs is on display when it comes to sentimental memories πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Don’t worry I’m up to date on tech these days πŸ˜† no floppy discs, Walkmans or even a CD in sight

The England team are a bunch of lazy pansies. France showed them how it's done.

Well done, France!

A bit harsh?

They have 6 genuine world class players.

England have 1.

Southgate set his team up incorrectly for Croatia. They were undone tactically.

Fuck the England team.

Always as useless as they've always been.

We only got this far because we got lucky in the draw. France didn't get lucky, toughened up throughout the tournament and never crumbled at the first sign of REAL adversity.

England should start investing in nurturing new talent, instead of throwing away tens of millions of pounds on foreign transfers. Until the England clubs realise this, we'll always suck in the international arena...

We had good young talent at the world cup. Pickford and Trippier were outstanding. We were fucked as we didn't have a proper passer (ie Shelvey) or someone who can drive the ball and ride out tackles (ie Wilshere). The closest player we had to this was kept on the bench most the time.

Certainly players were poor all tournament and should in no way have started so many games.

Teams adjusted their tactics during the match which neutralised us. (we started pretty much every game incredibly dominant and very attacking for the opening 20mins) After which we were not able to regain the same level of dominance or intensity and we did not ever offer any variation to our game-plan.

The manager is responsible for all of the above.

I don't think any manager can work mental toughness into a team in the space of a month or so. The players weren't good enough this time around but they've got time to get better and a solid footing to work off of.

The young England team are in the same position as where the young German team were in 2010.

They needed the exposure and experience and will be better in the future. Or least I hope they do

Yeah a WC semi-final was more than I expected from this group at this age. They are ahead of schedule.

Precisely. If they played like that with experienced players then we can be harsh.

I only expected them to qualify of maybe get to the quarter finals but not further. They exceeded expectations, the team have two years to find the play maker in the midfield.

Personally I am not trying to be harsh, I am happy for what they did.

It's just I think if they are going to improve, improve how long they can take on their opponents in games. If they put in these same kind of performances in 2-4 years time, they will not win anything. They might find a playmaker, a new player or a new tactic but if they still only play 45 mins at most and then turn passive in games, they won't win.

I don't expect any team to go for the whole 90 mins - especially not in summer when it's roasting - but build yourself up until you can go for at least 70+ mins in a game taking your game to the opponents, at least.

And honestly most of that I think is out of the control of the England setup. It comes down to the players and whether they're used to winning at club level.

The French team had the same setup pretty much. Stay solid and be hard to score against, then kick the ball upfield to the fast guys up front. They didn't have to worry about anyone adapting to them even if their setup was as basic as England's.

One thing I really liked about England is how deadly they were on set pieces. That alone should get anyone far into any tournament. Just keep that trait in handy and go for longer in games, that's all it takes. my 2 cents.

Yeah I didn’t think you were being harsh 😊 just saying we could be more critical with experienced teams.

Don’t like any teams that get a goal in and don’t keep attacking and resort to just defending. So boring, unlike today’s final was exciting.

Hope England learn that from seeing other teams, and as you’ve said before England managers need to rotate players to keep the opposition guessing. Let’s see what happens...eh

@peachy06 get off dxp, go out and celebrate!

Nah, too lazy to go out.

Your country is having the best party right now and you don't want to be a part of that?

πŸ™„

So ? Can't I just celebrate it at home ? Damn you're so annoying, don't tell me what to do ! πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„

You're strange. Have fun watching your neighbours party then.

I'm celebrating at home with my family, that makes me happy. Why do you even care ? Mind your business.

@nemdeux where are you?

I'm a bit worried 😹

no need to be worried.

i already mentioned on saturday that the ref would be pitana (argentina). already sensed it might be problematic and it was. disgraceful decisions on his behalf. and this is not wishful saltiness on my behalf ....we have the likes of roy keane and peter schmeichels etc commenting on these fatal penalties given.

croatia delievered world class football! until the very end. we are extremely proud of them.

and at the end of the day ....they played themeselves into the hearts of many.

and at the end of the day FIFA is obviously a mafia organization.

nevertheless: we had a great time yesterday watching it. had lovely weather, great food and drinks. met some great people from england; who initially were for france - but as the match went on - the husband (a sport teacher) he commented on the unfairness and was rooting for CRO.

thatΒ΄s how you do it.

all is good.

You're alive! πŸ™Œ

I feel you. That penalty call was really harsh.
