Help dealing with taurus guy

My taurus guy has been going through a lot of issues with finances family and friends. He spends majority of his time with his friends drinking and partying, and I've been feeling like he values time with them more than me.. I told him "I know you've been busy and going through a lot, so I don't wanna bother you I'll give you space if that's what you need" His response: "idk what you're talking about but ok" I don't know what to do cause he says one thing but his actions tell me otherwise and when I tell him how I feel he becomes defensive. I really would like opinions as to how can I get the taurus guy to see where I'm coming from.

It sounds like he felt that you were being way too melodramatic, and he was baffled about your intent for introducing the topic.

How old are you? How old is he?
What is the current stance for you and this Bull?
Are the two of you dating? FWB? or in an exclusive relationship?

You're not stating your true intentions and you're using vague terminology.

He's not aloof or clueless.

He's just not going to dot the I's or cross the T's for you.

I'm 26 and he'll be 28 next month, we are dating but we both haven't told each other what we really want. We've talked about a future together but it was brief he gave me a "We'll see" answer. Right now I'm getting older amand I want to progress and move forward but I'm feeling like he still wants to be a big kid and not take on responsibilities and be serious.. I've pulled back before and he comes around telling me I mean a lot to him, I play a big part in his happiness, he loves me. But his actions sometimes does not always show me that. What do I want? I want him to be more serious about us and where this relationship is going. No more cat and mouse game.. That's why I told him I'll give him space so he can see I'm being serious.
