so this past saturday i had plans to have taurus meet up with me at a pre-halloween party. my band was playing a show that night, he was out somewhere else supporting another band he knows, and afterward he was to meet me there. around 11 pm he texted me with "ugh". i knew immediately that he wasn't gonna make it out. he said he had too much to drink and couldn't drive. hey, i'm an understanding gal. no biggie. it's not like he's flakey. he's usually very good about following through on our plans. shit happens sometimes. he apologized profusely and kept trying to convince me to come to him but i wasn't gonna deviate from my plans either. i told him it was cool and we'd see each other soon.
i texted him the next day (sunday) to relay the craziness he missed. he didn't seem to be in the mood to converse so i left him alone and did my own thing. outta nowhere he texted me that night and seemed rather adamant about solidifying plans to see me again. i told him i was busy that night but monday would be good. so monday night comes along and i don't hear from him all day but he finally calls me around 10:30 pm and says that he's on his way. 5 minutes later i get a text saying he's too low on gas to come over, doesn't get paid til wednesday, and needs to save what gas he has left for work (he JUST bought a new computer too). kinda strapped for cash.
i was ever so slightly annoyed but nothing serious. like i said, i'm an understanding person and i realize shit happens. i did notice this was the 2nd time in a row he bailed on me though so i decided to tease him about it. we texted back and forth for a while and at one point i told him that he had 3 strikes and then he's out! he seemed to be playing along at 1st but i guess he wasn't grasping what i was hinting at. then he responds with,"wait, 3 strikes? ur gonna dump me?!" in the middle of my response to him to tell him i was messing with him he sends me 3 more texts in a row. after i send my msg i read them and he's acting all panicky! lots of "?!?!" and "are u serious!?!" whoa! i SO was not expecting that kinda reaction from him! we play like this all the time. after i reassured him he got kinda sweet on me and made damn sure we saw each other the next night. weird.
