Huggers

Met a male Taurus last night through a friend...we were all out and he came walking up to meet us...I had never met him before or seen him before. I make eye contact as he is apparently making a B-line for me and I have no clue who he is at this point...and he walks right up to me HUGS ME and is like "Hey I'm ... nice to meet you."

I was like oh *nervous laugh* hi yeah nice to meet you
(in my head I was like GET OUT OF MY BUBBLE GET OUT OF MY BUBBLE.)


Is this normal Taurus practice? Hugging people you don't know as an introduction?
We don't shake hands?

On another note he was very sweet and a gentleman.

I only hug those I care about.But you're frigging adorable,so I'd have made an exception too. ♥

The taurus babies in my life don't mind hugging at all, as long as you're on their good list. So, either you're just super cute, which is most likely true, or he's just a super cuddly taurus friend. Which is also awesome. IT'S A WIN-WIN.

I'm not a taurus, I'm a Cap, but the one thing that stuck to my old Libra friend when meeting him for the first time was greeting him with a hug. It was impulsive on my end to break the ice. Not sure if that was his reason, but you never know.

Yeah I mean he seems like an affectionate person to begin with...so maybe he just didn't want me to feel left out since he knew everyone but me and that's how he greets everyone.

But since I was the first person he hugged, the only person he didn't know...I was like O-o

To answer the question directly; if I know you well I am very touchy. If I've not seen you in some time I'm like a wriggling puppy. Bouncing off the walls, all smiles and chatter ( might hump your leg ). Someone I just met? An adult, not a child..love children..always stroking hair or a cheek..anyhoo! No. If I engage in convo and respond warmly to someone I'll reach out and touch to see if it's welcomed. If not I'll keep hands to self. If it is, it's no holds barred.

I don't mind hugs...but it threw me off...I thought handshakes were pretty standard way of greeting someone you've never seen before in your life lol

Lol I actually end up on those awkward situations a lot when I'm meeting someone for the first time, and I don't know how to greet them. Like, I'll hug the friend I know, and I get to the new person, and I just don't know what to do. I think I end up awkwardly attempting to hug the person, and sometimes it works out, and sometimes it switches to a handshake in between.

I'm pretty touchy, but only if I know the person is okay with it.

I've known some very warm taurus males. But more importantly it's not just a sign thing. I've known men of different signs to just be huggers. Sometimes people just have that chill/laid back state about them where they don't care and will be cool with anyone. Love those kinda people. Those are the types I wanna just chill with and talk about the deep things in life

If they have a fire or air moon, yeah, totally normal. I know lots of taurus folk and the ones with that placement (fire moon especially) always go in for the hug. The others, not so much. Too timid.

A simple wave or a hand shake usually suffices 😛

I remember reading somewhere that men can tell how strong a women is by her handshake, so I always try to shake as firm as I can when it's a guy.
